Howdy everyone. I'm playing Riley, a 'Traumatized Hellhound-Possessed Bounty Hunter' taking the Erlking's Huntmaster and re-flavoring it a touch. I have quite a bit of experience in playing with the Fate mechanics so I'll be tweaking my character a little more than most.

If there are any Fate newbies or anyone has questions about the system or anything of that nature, I'm happy to offer assistance. :)

So, question, since this is a Dresden Files game and looks like it's taking place post Battle Grounds; do we need to Spoiler Alert anything or is everyone good?

Hi everyone!  Only have a few minutes just now, but I'll be playing Casey, a Shoved-out Angel.  Which is a lot like a Fallen angel, only instead of being all twisted and evil, you've been forcefully untranssubstantiated from a fragment of the Divine's Will into a poor mortal shmuck with only hints of your former glory.  I'll be scavenging a couple of other Mantles to put him together.

Well, you two sound all sorts of interesting!  His sounds like a powerhouse group already!

I'm Gertrude.  Gertie, I suppose.    The High-Concept is "Hunger's Handmaiden," basically the emissary of big-F Famine.  I haven't built her yet (and probably won't have time to until this weekend), but will probably modify one of the vampire mantles.  White Court seems like it'd be the easiest to tweak to my purposes.

I've been thinking about what kind of mundane job I wanna give her.  Currently leaning towards paramedic or social worker... something that exposes her to others' addictions.  She's mostly a good person, I think.  But she isn't always a nice person...  That's something I kinda want to explore.

Real life is tumultuous right now.  But it should clear up for me by the end of the week.

I am still around everyone!  Weekends are usually terrible for me, and today in particular has been busy at work, but we're not dead. :)

... sooooo...   how's everyone doing here?  Feeling good, staying hydrated, getting your steps in, eating your greens?  Anybody feel like doing some gaming or something?  :)

Maybe?  It is the holiday season though and everything slows down then.

Life is all over the place at the moment, but I check in regularly.  Hasn't seemed to be anything worth responding to yet.

Perhaps one of the next steps should be us working out some background ties for how we know at least one or two of the other characters, so we're not all total strangers.

Gertrude is a counsellor with a contract with the school board, but she also volunteers for critical incident counselling and addiction issues.  Any chance your characters has had exposures to traumatic events recently?  Or perhaps some issues with addictive behaviors or substances?

Well, my character has been through several significant trauma's in her background. She could definitely be in therapy. While she's originally built as being from Boston, an hour's drive to see the right phycologist is not out of the realm of possibility.

Boston is certainly close enough that your character would have ties to the area!   And I'm more than happy to say that Gertie does some casework in Boston...  Perhaps she lives in Salem and commutes a couple of times a month to Beantown.

I suggest that it would be ideal if we each had a justification for why our character has been in Salem for at least a year...  Failing that, strong ties to the area (Family, friends, co-workers, etc) works just as well.     Of course, I'm not the GM.  So take that with a grain of salt.

Gertie's been in the area for nearly a decade, after having moved from Buffalo, New York after getting her degree.

Katt is very much the new comer only having been in the city for a month or so at most.  The only connections she would likely have are those in the paranet (if one exists in the city) or people that would come to the library she works at for research.

Meg has been in...  well, not Salem proper, but a particular forest just outside of Salem, for 400 years.  :)
