Re: OOC

Rapier is Dex based weapon for bonuses to damage etc, Who can use in Flash Thief could still because Dex based I guess. So in your game can thief and halflings use a rapier.

Re: OOC

Halflings can't because it's not a thrown/missile weapon.  Thieves can, I'll update the house rules.

Re: OOC

Ok question on henchman we are allowed 1 unless hi Cha, according to the game at the end of the fight we can choose which henchman to keep.

Ex I had a whip and a pet, next fight I defeat for 2nd pet at the end I could choose and the other would wander off we doing it that way too.

Re: OOC

You always keep your first, until it dies or you exit the dungeon.  If you used a whip to train another, that one would wander off, no choice.

Re: OOC

Got another interesting idea/ question for you.

Say I have Vlad my wizard and he has Charm in his spellbook. Can he create a Charm scroll for a cost in gold. They sell for 300 so say cost in materials etc is 200 gold.

Re: OOC

It's already assumed that your retired level 2 is able to create scrolls... for 300 gp each.

Re: OOC

Oh that's right, it's 8 in the flash, and I reverted.

Edit: I'm not sure that was clear.  ...to the flash, I had placed scrolls at 2 but then decided I wanted to stick more closely to the flash game's equipment unlocks.  So no scrolls until retiring someone at level 8.

Re: OOC

Critical hits.  Love em?  Hate em?   Due to the way the randomization math works out they're a lot worse for PCs.  On the plus side they do shorten fights.  I'm pretty sure they aren't used in the flash as I don't remember them coming up, but it may be hidden or I just didn't notice.

There's always the PCs are the only ones that can crit option, I could do that.  Obviously it would make the game easier, but with the much longer periods of PBP vs. playing a flash game, that's not necessarily a bad thing.

-----

PSA #1 - The constant hello/goodbyes in the dungeon are really slowing me down, it takes a lot of time to verify where people are and what they're doing, possibly as much or more than the rest of the posts.  If you want a character/party to have their own instance, or make your own rules for how often/when you can meet others in the dungeon I will be more than happy to accommodate.  Or you have any ideas how to deal with it more efficiently I'd love to hear them.

-----

PSA #2 - Standard operating procedures set by you will help speed up the game.  If you want to make any or have some I've been forgetting let me know.  Always investigate glints, always search for secret doors in dead ends, etc.

Re: OOC

Neither Flit nor Moze have run into a critical, so I don’t really have an opinion.

Moze is purely a solo character, so he does not intend to join any groups.

Flit is quite happy in her current group.

Re: OOC

I dislike crits because I have been hit by way to many of them.

Now on PC encounters, lets make them all self contained so no encounters. If solo you will always be solo no pC's
. IF in group just starting PC in group will be in it.

Make for faster dungeon runs.

Re: OOC

I'll leave the instancing up to individuals on how they want to do it.  Some people have expressed some interest in the meetings.  Per character is fine for private instances.  I still want to have some meetings if people want them, but I may reduce it considerably, something like a 1 in 4 chance to start and see how that goes.  (again just let me know per character.)

I had reduced it to only meeting each person/group meeting only once until both have changed levels/left the dungeon, but it still had a lot of meetings.

Another idea would be instead of checking all the room tracks, just tack on something like a 1 in 10 chance the dungeon dumps you into another person's room track on the same level if there are any.  Actually I like that idea, I could replace one or two empty passage results with that (which would be 1 in 20 each.) That would save me all the checking and would really speed things up.

It might really only need to be done on the first level, as that's where the train station seems to be.

I'll try that and see how it goes.

Ok, how exactly does taunting the enemy work when you are in a party.

My next party guy might consider it.

Re: OOC

Try it and find out.  (I had an unmodified roll vs. their AC for Beldeth just making a lot of noise against centipedes instead of attacking, but that may be different depending on the target and how effective it appears to me, I'd add a bonus for charisma in any case.)

Re: OOC

Do you still have to be a fighter to use a two-handed sword?  Or is it at least possible to use it like a normal d8 sword?

Re: OOC

Human Fighters and Paladins, actually should include Assassins and Bards too since they can use fighter weapons.  No robbers,  It's too big and unwieldy for someone to use effectively without proper training.

Nope, you'll lose them when you leave the dungeon because they're a monster though, can't bring skeletons and zombies into the light.
