Khaaven pissed that his kick didn't dispose of the skeleton focused his anger into a finely placed blow of his plate gauntlet fist delivering a mighty blow to it. Soon, I will have a weapon once I kill you. Then it will be time to find the doors out of here.

Seeing what appears to be another robber just one with a makeshift club.

 "Well met, have you found an exit yet to this infernal place, I haven't yet and am still wandering because of it. Khaaven is the name, after I finish with these walking bones and see what loot he gives me will consider joining forces if you like."

Khaaven knocks the head off the skeleton, it's body crashes down to the floor below taking the club with it.

Hadrian II watches as the other man punches and kicks a skeleton to pieces, before replying to his fellow explorer.

"Well met. I am Hadrian II. Our clan have found an entrance to the dungeon; I'm the second to enter. I would be glad to join up with you, if you would have me. You seem like you can handle yourself."

Well met, indeed. If you could help me navigate to your exit. I might retire and my clan could start as well then my second and you could group up and continue the journey together uniting our clans in brotherhood."

Hadrian II shrugs.

"Sure. Let's see if we can find the exit, then."

Let's head back the way I came and see if we can stumble into the exit.

Hadrian's high intelligence lets him remember the way easily, not that it was much to remember.  You come to a set of stairs going up.  There is another person there also with a club and rough clothes.

"Let me retire and I will send some one down to join you."

Khaaven then goes up the stairs to retire.

A strong ruffian with a kindly face only a mother could love says "Uh, hi.  I'm Dogmeat." With a pause he says "Number two." with another pause, the gears moving slowly in his head he says "My friends call me Two." and holds out his right hand transferring his club to his left.



Two says "Uh, O.K." and lets Khaaven by.

Khaaven the 2nd joins the two others waiting for him, He is wearing leather armor, having a sack and club along with a pole to help look for traps.

"Well met, should we start then."

Two says "O.K." and follows wherever it is Khaaven the 2 is going.

To whatever door is available then.

Your party heads back toward the door Khaaven's predecessor came from, as you near where it should be a wall slides down behind you preventing your backtracking to the entrance

Room 2, "lost"

With no choice but to continue on you do so.  Oddly you end up back at the stairs up you just left.

Room 1. exit.

You turn and go back down the the passage trying to figure out what's going on.  There's still no door, but this time a passage branches off to the left.  Something glints that way.

As you're going to examine the glint you don't find anything, but a pit opens underneath them, Khaaven the 2, Hadrian II manage to avoid falling in, but Two falls in and gets a slight sprain.  There's nothing in the pit besides Two.

Perhaps it was caution, or fear.  Or maybe the woman thought it best to let her male companions be chivalrous.  Either way, Selara would hesitate, her club held ready in case one of the beetles came her way.

It wasn't that Selara was a coward, she just had a healthy dose of caution.  And, well, there were too many people swinging at those beetles anyway.  If she moved closer she'd be just as likely to hit her companions as the beetles, probably.  Still, she began to worry that in the aftermath her companions would accuse her of doing nothing.  She could put on a good show, she thought, and began to heft her makeshift club to attack.

Then Rat came up from behind.

"Gods damn it!" she hissed, spinning and nearly swinging her club.  Then her eyes settled on the enormous gold statue.  "...gods damn it..." she echoed, though her tone was reverent and her eyes were wide.

The lean human's bulging eyes dart about as he quickly surveys the carnage. When he sees they have things well in hand, he nods at Selera, "just passin' through," he says before shooting off in a different direction.

Hadrian II ignores the minor wound he's suffered, and keeps swinging his club at the beetles.

"Keep swinging! They've gotta die eventually!"

As the blood spouts out of him, Moordenaar's upper torso glares hateful at Selara as he spits out his final words.  "Goldbricking... bitch..."

K2 notices the female just ignore those in combat to run after another robber with treasure. Then he again attacks the beetles hitting one a light blow.

If she had any doubts about following the giant gold statue and the man who was carrying it, seeing the beetles slice Moordenaar in half helped her make up her mind.  Without a word, she turned to scurry after Rat.

“Oh my heavens!” The jolly would-be cleric exclaims, and then attempts to bash a beetle’s brains in.

K2 says, "We survived that, so we divide everything 4 ways. 2 glands apiece 499 cp, 190 ep and weapons for those without it appears. odd cp goes to Two for last kill. I took 1 less ep so it breaks out even. Those without carry device might need to share the urn for now, I have my sack."

As he divides up the loot evenly for everyone, 2 clubs and a whip are left. "I would like the whip if no one minds."

Wander is fine, with me. By deeper do you mean down a level or just forward so to speak.

(OOC The party as a whole isn't lost*, so it would be exploring, which goes further from the exit.  backtrack would go to the exit directly assuming the party didn't get lost.

*Actually I'm not entirely sure how to handle the situation since some are lost and some aren't. My leaning is to count it as not lost since most know where they are.  I'm going to continue on exploring since the lost don't know that's going on anyway, with that in mind:)

You come to a dead end.

(OOC you can eat food to recover if you have any, the only thing you can do from a dead end is backtrack, let's see how that goes... backtrack successful. Someone who's not lost can decide to go back to the entrance, or to room 2 on the track.)

You find a fire beetle larva. Too small to hurt anyone, it has a tiny gland which is less bright than a candle, still it might be worth a gold.

Room 5 - Side passage to the right with a glint of light.  passage continues, following the light you find 4 Bandits.

The first is wearing a small gold 7 pointed star (holy symbol) and has a bludgeon.
The second has a small wooden end table he's trying rather poorly to use as a shield and a bludgeon.
The third has a glowing dagger.
The fourth a bludgeon.

They hesitate.

The passage continues for a long ways then turns to the left, a glint of light is seen that way, there's no way to go but that way anyway.  All but Weiser manages to avoid falling in the pit that had some glowing fungus on it.  He takes a hard fall and is barely hanging on (5 damage)

K1 will use his pole to help his companion out of the pit. "Wieser if we encounter things in smaller numbers, let me run interference for you. So stay behind me if needed."

“Thank you, friend.  And thank the gods!  Your intervention was heaven-sent.”

The party continues on and a whole 60' section of the passage turns into a chute dropping all of them into a passage in what appears to be a mine, rough hewn walls with timbers to hold up the ceilings.  There is a set of stairs in one direction going up.

Level ? Room 1

K1 stairs since that is our only option.

(OOC there's a passage going the other way if you prefer to stay on this level.)

I say stay here try it out, since 4 of us. Go for passage.

The passage goes for 90' then a pit opens beneath the party this time dropping Two into it fairly hard (4 damage.)

There doesn't seem to be any way forward without traversing the pit.

Room 3

K1 go back then.

You get to the stairs going up.  Since there's only up you go up, back to the finished stone of the dungeon you're familiar with.  Again since there's only one way you backtrack, but you lose your way and end up at a dead end (you can eat food if you have any to recover hp, search for doors.)

Level 1 Room 3 lost.

K1 will search for doors.

Two has no food to heal with.

Neither do I.  I vote to return to level 1, then exit ASAP.

K1 backtrack if we can to try to find some stairs.

No secret doors are found.

You're not sure where the exit is, but you see no choice but to pick a direction and go.  You feel like you're going in circles, then you find the stairs and daylight!

K1 goes his own way as those others leave to heal for awhile.

After five days of rest, I’m ready to rock n’ roll again.

Two rejoins after 4 days.

As the party heads down the passage, when Weiser steps on a plate it sinks a litte, he has the wherewithal to dive out of the way as a mist of oil is sprayed from a tiny hole in the ceiling followed by the sound of metal striking stone which creates a spark igniting the oil in a small fireball.  Weiser escapes with only singed eyebrows.

Room 3 passage turns right

Room 4 side passage with glint to the left.  (Investigated per SOP) A single platinum coin.

Room 5 You come across Khaaven in a huge hexagonal room as big as a whole house (2000'sq) with a spider bigger than your hand that sits atop a coffer (small fancy chest).  3 doors exits at other cardinal points.

Two yells at Khaaven "You leave no pay for dagger!"  He looks in a killing mood (will attack if can.)

Looks to Two, "I said I owe each of you 125 gold, that hasn't changed. This treasure might cover it if not I owe you and your clan like I said. My word is my bond. "

See's the deadly look in his eyes, " If you have a problem with it, I am willing to fight an honor duel with the others as witnesses."

No PVP but a duel between two people is something I can agree to. Both have to agree and it is fair fight as in no surprise backstabs etc it is Two people agree to fight then some how you figure who attacks first etc.

K1 opens the coffer and whistles in awe, "Nice! Now I can pay you your 125 gold. Or have that Honor duel if you like, I prefer paying you what I owe and separating as friends. Wieser and H2, I have your coin as well."

Those that want it have allocated 13 PP which is 130 GP

Room Track 6 - The door leads to a square 40' room within stand 3 skeletons covered in webs upon each a crawls a spider the size of the one Khaaven had with him.

The first skeleton has a small wrapped package in it's left hand, and a club in the right.

The third skeleton has a whip.

Hadrian II takes out the skeleton with the whip, and Two takes out the spider on the skeleton with a sword.  The skeleton doesn't seem to be affected by killing the spider.

The skeletons go after Weiser, perhaps angered by his holy symbol, but he's able to avoid them. Perhaps they're slowed by the cobwebs covering them.

The spiders leap from the skeletons at Hadrian II, who knows why?  One of them bites him, while only a small bite, the poison from it makes him very ill (5 damage.)

After heading down and exploring the passage that looks like a mine, you come across Khaaven who's removed his own plate boots and is backstepping into a pair of fancy green boots.  The man and pig-faced humanoid that just passed through is there as well, they were leaving opposite.

Rt 2 - You enter a room that on first glance looks like a mud room for miners.  A wooden handle of some tool missing the business end are discarded near a tapestry hanging on the wall.

The tapestry is a portrait of a demon, with ancient looking red skin practically dripping off it's frame and black horns in a scene where it's looking out from a tower surrounded by lightning.


The tapestry says "How dare you insult me!  Don't like my looks indeed!  When I am free you will pay!"

The tapestry says to Khaaven "Hurry with my boots, I can taste my freedom and he will taste my wrath!"

"Hold on a blessed minute.  Khaaven?  What is this impious thing talking about?  Are you putting on his boots for him so he can escape the infernal trap he so obviously deserves?  Because, if so, that would be a no-no."

His fingers itch less than an inch from the holster of his holy symbol.

Maze lost - You find yourself in a maze of tiny little passages all alike.

Maze lost - You come out into a chamber, which has exits in every direction, you feel very heavy.  (If anyone has any heavy items you can't move them anymore and must leave them. If you're in plate armor you must have someone help you remove it.)

An altar dripping with dried blood sits in the center of the room a scroll case on a raised wrought metal holder sits on the altar.  A double circle of iron with arcane symbols is within it surrounds the altar.  A short humanoid who's skin is dripping off them like candle wax stares at you and moans but doesn't move from its spot in front of the altar.

I present my holy symbol to the molten creature.

The creature shields its eyes from the symbol, but otherwise stands it's ground moaning more specifically and louder at Weiser.

Weiser lean over really far and whacks it on the head.  It slumps on the ground.

I try to use my 10’ pole to push the scroll case off the altar, then outside the iron circles (without crossing them myself).

As Weiser does that the molten man starts reforming into a semi-recognizable shape.  Weiser gets the scroll case.

He checks inside the case, preferably before the molten man can attack him.

Fine with treasure split, want to see if my attack did much to him. If it did want to try to use poles to destroy as much of this place as we can and have W concentrate the area with his holy symbol.

There's not much you can do unless you had some , the altar is a black stone block, and the circle is metal embedded in the floor.

After some prayers You try to head back, you seem to be lost in a maze though.

Resting is at dead ends, pools and rivers, get 1 spell back, can eat as much food as you want.  You're not at one of those.

The gloves are moldy, when picked up a cloud of spores surrounds Vladimir he chokes on the cloud (3 damage) and throws them away before it gets worse.

You run across a chamber with exits into twisty little passages everywhere, there is also a door, possibly way out of the maze!  The door is iron bound with 3 horizontal bands on each band is an palm sized round indent, there is no handle.  3 zombies mill about, each wearing a large holy symbol, one is an 8 pointed star, the second is a sundial and the third is a triangle.

They look to be about the right size for the symbols, but they're round.

Vladimir takes the sundial and places it on the bottom.  When he does a darkness fills the room and coalesces on the zombie bodies and in a third place.  The zombies reform, including the one wearing the 8 pointed star that had run away in the third place.

We are using VWT as positions for treasure and enemy attacks. So 3 is T then 1 for V so Wieser is third in rotations for this dungeon run.
So next room is VWT loots and will update for start of every room what we are at.

Rt 8 - Side passage to the right with a glint, Weiser finds a secret door there, it opens to a circular room 500 sq feet with no other exits (dead end.)  3 skeletons with clubs stand in the room.

(Not sure I want it to work like that, I might make it so you have to have a whip to direct/keep an animal as a companion.  Also not sure about letting trades happen in combat at least without using the actions for the round.  I'll let both slide for now.)
