Two was a large man, he looks like someone beat him with the ugly stick but that just made the stick uglier.  He has a sad but kind looking face, very calm and vacant most of the time.  His intellect was that of someone dropped on their head regularly as a child.

He says now that he's out of earshot "No trust Khaaven, keep hand on purse when around."

Hadrian II passes though.  He nods at the parties and goes through one of the doors.

There was a look of surprise on Beldeth's face.  "Oh!  He was a perfect gentleman to me," she said.

She looked at Flit as she admitted to stealing and her lips pressed together a little tighter in disapproval, but she said nothing.  Desperation could do things to people, she decided.  She knew.

"Gods bless the beasts and children," Weiser says adoringly.  "Now, shall we get out of here?"

Backtracking to the stairs out was easy with so many knowing the way.

(OOC:
Flit and Waverlin become hoods, and start bands with the fame they receive from escaping the dungeon.  They can get a bludgeon (d6 damage) from any stout tree branch they find.)

Shakes his 10' pole saying "Get gear" He holds out a hand to each of Flit and Waverlin with 3 platinum (15 gp) "I take whip now.  Wait next party, too many."

In reply to Two of the Hill People (msg # 13):

”Much obliged to you, Mister Two! Best of luck on your delving!”

He smiles to Beldeth.

”Ah, a lady of refinement! It seems we’ve both fallen on hard times unfortunately…”

He overhears Flit.

”Goodness me! There’s no sin in stealing to survive! Well…time to go shopping, young lady! We could use some better clothes, couldn’t we?”

(OOC, Flit and Waverlin can also start 2nd characters, at least 1 must be in a party (or backtracking only) the other can go solo.  Of course you can stick with one character and solo or party as you wish.)

“So if I understand this correctly…the four of us are supposed to go back down into the caverns to risk our lives to build or rebuild our fortunes?”

"Thank you, Two, that is very kind of you," Flit says, touching the man lightly on the arm.

Turning to the others she asks, "can someone explain this whole situation a little?  You were all thrown into the well, and have figured a way out and you go back in to gather treasure?  Is there anything else I should know?"  In truth, she can live on the streets, always has, but they might come looking for her again.  So maybe best to hide out for at least a little while.

Beldeth managed to look faintly guilty.  "Ah.  I, um, signed up for this," she admitted.  "I understand the patron I work for, the Illustruous Selara is a survivor of the well.  She bequeathed me with this club and an opportunity" she said, her eyes flashing with excitement.  She blushed a little, putting a hand to her bodice.  "In truth I hadn't anticipated how exciting it is to be an adventurer!  Who knows what awful things we'll encounter down there?"

There was no disguising the fact that Beldeth was eager to return to the dungeon.  Her brief sojourn had merely been a taste.

”Well, perhaps we should form a team? Flit here has practiced stealing, obviously…I’m well-studied in both occult theory and applied religious invocations…what is your skill set, Miss Beldeth?”

The faded noblewoman looked faintly guilty.  "I, ah, don't exactly have a specialty.  Unless you count a willingness to face danger and hit things with my length of wood here," she said, patting her bludgeon.

"I would like to go with a small group if we are to return," Flit replies.  "I would feel better having some people who know how to get around and for general protection."

In addition to acquiring a bludgeon, she would be interested in acquiring a couple of daggers and a sack if they are available to her.

In reply to Flit (msg # 21):

Waverlin found a sack in the first room he found and turned it into a weapon, luckily he never had to use it that way and will now use it for carrying things.

(OOC daggers are available, sacks are not until you retire a level 1 character, See the Fence notice.)

"Two will join.  I see Weiser at tavern, know he left. Four magic number for delve." he says with utter certainly that you will let him rejoin.  "We Go?"

”That sounds like a plan! Lead on Mister Two!”

An awkward smile, "yes, thank you for helping us Two.  Lead the way."

Flit acquires one bludgeon and two daggers, leaving her with one platinum and two gold.

Two says surprised "Two no lead, you lead!" He points his finger at everyone one at a time then stops at Waverlin uncertain.

You descend the stairs into the dungeon again.  The passage goes off beyond the distance of the red light emitted by the glands of fire beetles Two and Beldeth carry.  The party goes down it.

rt 2 - Dogmeat stands staring at an open secret door in a dead end, a dead bandit on the floor.

They said that four was the perfect number for a party, and there is no where else to go, so proceed through the secret door.

Dogmeat is a human (?) who has very doglike features.

Dogmeat says in short barking words "Two!  Dogmeat mad.  Too mad go on.  You see Griff band guy, sic him!  He  come in when thief come in with glow dagger, steal Dogmeat kill, take dagger and run door."

Flit frowns, that is not how you act, stealing someone else's kill.  "Hello Dogmeat, I am Flit.  We will look out for the scoundrel."

Two says "Ok dad, go home rest. We keep hand on purse."

Two says to the rest of the party "Khaaven Griff band. He take glow dagger when Two in party too.  He take say pay then go from party, we meet he pay, but think who get dagger be more fair."  He shrugs.

Two follows Flit.
