Before The Great Leap Of Dark

The Further The Murkier was probably quite the ship back in it's day.

It sits in the water now like some older woman who won't admit her age.  The paint job is a bit gaudy.  The decks seem to sag a bit on the ends.  But she's still afloat.  That's saying something.

There's a superstructure of two decks above the main deck.  That must be for passengers.

The sun is starting to dip down the sky to the west.

Your shift sitting at the end of the gang plank, making sure no one who shouldn't get on, is almost up Wungarr.  You think G'zen is supposed to relieve you.  You yawn and stretch and think about whether it's worth it to go find an ale when you see the damndest thing walking down the dock towards you.

Two t'skrang and a windling are heading this way.  The windling is the damndest part of it.  He has no wings and he's riding a goat.

Don't see that everyday.

Wait.  Now that you think about it, that new passenger...Lahylla something...had said she was expecting three people to come see her.  A J'Rass.  A T'ben or T'veyn or something like that.  And an Azud.  She asked you to show them up to her room.

She tips, so it might be worth it.

J'Rass, T'veyn, and Azud, you met each other by design or by chance coming up the docks towards The Further The Murkier.  Your reward from Lahylla, and maybe some answers, are just ahead.

You spy the ship.  Meh.  You've seen worse.

There's a gangplank heading up to it.  At the end of the gangplank is a troll who's watching you walk towards him.

Wungarr, I'll let you describe yourself

Ogbe seems a bit pensive.  Gallows isn't back yet, but that's not anything new Antero.  Gallows usually doesn't get back to the ship until near the midnight bell.

Ogbe's been frowning since that new passenger came aboard.  Some t'skrang woman named Lahylla.  She's got a room at the end of the hall from Ogbe's.

"Antero," Ogbe drawls.  His voice gets a weird drawl when he's been drinking.  "I want you to do something for me.  Keep an eye on that woman's door.  That Lahylla.  Let me know if anyone comes in or goes out, will you?"

Billylandar, you've found the ship.  The Further The Murkier.  It's seen better days.

Supposedly this Lahylla is aboard.

You're standing in the shadow of some crates, watching the ship.

There's a troll guarding the gangplank leading up to the deck.  And there's two t'skrang and a wingless windling riding a black goat coming towards him.

You don't see that everyday.

If you want to try to talk to her, you need to speak to that troll and see if you can get aboard.

Or you can try to sneak aboard.  However you wish to proceed here.

Before The Great Leap Of Dark

In reply to Cap'n Will Kill U (msg # 1):

Wungarr seemed very typical Trollish if one did not know Trolls. Big? Check. Horns? Check. Hairy? Check. For those who knew Trolls, spent time with them, understood thier ways...they would note how this troll is somewhat diffrent.

One, he is the size of a troll child. Now, a troll youngling can be 7 and a half feet tall, but notable among a race that averages a good foot taller than that-male or female. Secondly, Trolls tend to be thick and broad. Wungarr is slim by comparison, clearly lighter and his arms and legs built for motion rather than power. Finally, he lacks the tusks coming from the lower jaw and over the lips that many Trolls possess.

Despite all that, Wungarr has been a useful sailor, at least on the water vessel instead of an air ship. His size, small for a troll but big for everybody else, allows him to be an effective guard. Those with Troll knowledge will note he is far quieter than most Trolls. Especially socially.

Regardless, his eyes narrow at the trio heading towards the gangplank. He turns his large frame, making sure to get in thier way. His shield resting on one arm while a spear is loosely held in the other, seemingly held like a walking stick rather than a weapon.

He grunts as the visitors head towards the gang plank. "Hold up." He says in dwarvish. "Need your names." He says, sounding more tired than threating.
