here are occassional gullys with streams or rivers running through. Nothing with real shelter from the elements but probably good enough to lie low and not be seen by possible attackers.

No, no one does that. To be honest I haven't heard of that in decades, not that this means it's a bad thing. For PbP it's not really be seen as important because you can review what everyone said.

It's etiquette that if you talk in a post you must be answered so your PC should always be answered so if your PC asks someone anything you should get an answer. I think Bandos uses the rule that if you don't get answered by the next turn he'll NPC the person who supposed to.

So far if a PC takes an initiative everyone's agreed or spoken up and it's been discussed.

As a GM I'm not keen on party spokesperson. It places too much reliance on one player. It's OK if you're all sat round a table together but online games where posters can be unreliable it can lead to long delays which can end up with the GM railroading stuff.

Im suprised. If the player wasnt happy about something - its hard to tell from such minimal posting. If theres an issue it needs to be discussed - which to be fair is harder in PBP games - since its easy to misinterpret the emotional content behind a players posts.

Are we in our gear? or is this much later on evening, next day etc? Are we by our own camping spot? Just trying to gauge our state and how near our gear is.

Myphista seemed to take the hump at everyone's answer to their question and then concluded that silence would be the best option. I don't really need a player to openly state they won't be talking, it kind of goes against being in a PbP game.
