Character Generation
I'm just going to register what I've done, in case any of it is wrong or is at an inappropriate level.
1. I rolled stats as instructed.
2. I chose a Balazaring, rolled a Hunter. &0% chance of getting 1 or 2 dogs, I rolled below that so get 1 or 2 dogs (which?)
3; I altered the base skills as in Griffin Mountain. There are some inconsistencies, noted below. Stirkes me GM may be RQ2?
Skills to Add, base levels:
Butchering 50%
Camouflage 40%
Identify Healing Plants 10%
Train Dog 25%
Trap Set/Disarm 30%
- these don't exist like this on the sheet..?
Spot Hidden 10%
Spot Trap 10%
- should these really be lower than the 25% base? Seems odd to me.
4. As instructed in GM, I took gear from the Barbarian Hunter in RQ3. I get leather armour and some weapons, haven't looked into that so far.
5. I rolled age (20) and added experience as under Barbarian. Experience is very ungenerous in RQ3 but there you go. One skill increase is: "+5 to Ceremony or Enchant or Summon" - can anyone suggest which I should take, to keep things simple/moving?
6. I rolled the magic thing and got 51, meaning I am an initiate. I added some skills from there. I have to sacrifice 1 POW (which will now be 7!). I get one back per three years over 15, so at 20 I make that 1? I will get 1 point of Spirit Magic. I haven't chosen yet.
So, is this more or less right? Are we all at this sort of level? E.g. leather armour, minor skill increases over base, melee weapon attack at 15-25%, parry or dodge less than that and missile weapon attack at 25%, 1 point of spirit magic. I don't want to spend ages doing all this and discover I am in among a load of combat monsters with ten points of spirit magic and metal armour.
