Unfortunately, plans have changed
My family (two brothers and their wives, and my father) were in the state for a wedding for a child of a friend of the family (i wasn't really close to them, so i hadn't been invited) .  They'd been planning to come down here to our town, but at the wedding Dad got overheated (he's from Maine, and had trouble with the summers up there sometimes) and had a bout of high blood pressure, and collapsed at the wedding.   They called an ambulance and took him to the hospital, and he recovered very well.   They kept him overnight for observation, because his blood pressure was still high, but he gradually got better and they just now released him.
We're heading up there to where our family friend lives, since they don't want to stress him out with another long road trip

I’m sorry to hear about your dad, but I’m glad he’s doing better. Is Mainers can’t do that heat lol. I hope you have a good visit with your family.

It was a good visit.  We're going to see how everyone is feeling tomorrow and see if we can have another visit tomorrow.
