Buck looks around and says, "Buck try." He looks sheepish and shows her.
It is good, it is really, really good at least a hobbyist or talented unprofessional artist level.

He looks shy but he eventually shows her the pad.

She looks at the sketch pad and smiles happily. “Buck, this is really good. I’m impressed. You’ve got a lot of talent hidden away inside of you. Thank you for showing it to me.” She hands him back the pad looking proudly at him.

Taking a seat nearby, Liya looks at Buck for a moment. “I want to talk to you about a couple things. I understand if it’s not comfortable for you, so I don’t want to push you, but can you tell me about what it was like for you growing up? How long have you been able to use trump’s without having them? It’s not common for people to listen or use trump’s without actually having one. I want to know more about you.”

"Buck in war." He makes a boom motion with his hands.

"Fought young." He looks at the ground, "Bad war. Bad bombs."

"Buck strong survive." He looks upset, "Friends die though."

He looks to Liya, "Trumps ?" he shrugs. "Just learn."

He shrugs, "Not know. Was young." He sighs, "War stupid."

"New friends adopt." He shakes his head, "Not nice." He points at Liya, "Like you."

"Lightniniya nice, Truqie nice, Majesty nice, Bazteen nice."

"Trump cool." He finally smiles coming out of the apparent gloom.

“Well, now you can draw whenever you want. And if you want to try to make trumps too, we’ll try that as well.” She smiled.

“I was think tomorrow before we head out, we can go find Tanique and see if we can convince her to go with us.  I want to show you how traveling through worlds is like. It’s not going to be a nice ride though. Some places are really bad, and the roads can be very dangerous.”

She stood and stretched. “I’m going to get some rest now. You should too.”

Buck gets up and looks like he is going to sleep outside of Liya's room.
Though she knows he has his own which the staff arranged next to hers.

“You have a room next to mine Buck. Come on, I’ll show you to your room.”

She brings him to his room and gets him settled in for the night. “If you need anything, I’m right next door. Good night Buck, sleep well.”

Once he’s all set, she heads back to her room and gets ready for bed as well.

Liya wakes up stretching beneath the blankets and her head still under her pillows. She mumbles to herself “five more minutes,” before reaching for her clothes at the foot of her bed. Once she was dressed and gathered her things, Liya goes to Bucks room to wake him.

“Not that I’m aware of. We got back last night but you were already sleeping. I wanted Bastion to meet Buck, to see if there is anything he could do to help Buck some more. He’s going to talk to Violet first though. Buck is my squire now too, so he’s going to be learning and training a lot with me.” She talked excitedly and grinned.
