A black road extends into the Crech stirring up the winds in the kingdom.
Along the road comes a small procession from Chaos baring the banner of the King as well as a banner to House Attienne.



An unkindness of ravens takes wing several making way to the castle some keeping pace with the carriages flitting from tree to tree or spots on the ground.

Theovus, "Jalin, why don't you take a form more pleasing to the realm and announce our presence even though I suspect our host knows we have arrived already."

Jalin, "I can finally see why we would travel so far, I sense power in this place. I will take a form like the ones we see."

The twisting and changing of form as feathers come forth, bones grow and hollow and the imprecise copying of the native creatures commences with a form more befitting the Pit then the Cretch.



"I will make haste in heralding your arrival, Lord Theovus."

Jalin moved off faster than the carriages whose steeds were recovering from making it over the mountains about the Cretch.

She arrives on Thunderstrike to see the strange ravenlike creature flying on six sets of wings by the gates. Speaking with the guards.

"I am Jalin, Herald of Lord Theovus of the Courts of Chaos. I come before he arrives to set his rooms and affairs here in order." it says in a hallow yet strangely deep voice.

The guards look at one another then respond to this strange creature, "We've been expecting you. please wait here one moment. Another guard will arrive to lead you."

The thing called Jalin nods slightly.

Tanique looked at the creature curiously, and nodded in greeting if it meets her eye

Jalin turns in her direction.

"Hello Lady Tanique, we did not know if you would be here or which Lords or Ladies would be in state or not. I am Lord Jalin of the Courts of Chaos, House Attienne."

 Tanique smiled
"A pleasure to meet you, Lord Jalin.  I hope your journey was uneventful"

"I almost wish there would have been more events, though as you say. It was relatively safe and smooth though those mountains are a thing of grandeur that were beyond what I was expecting even if I had been informed about them. Other than that things were calm. We hope things go well for the meetings here."

The Raven guards look glad that Lady Tanique has made her presence known and is engaging the strange creature.

The princess nodded
"We're working to make your stay as pleasant and entertaining as possible,  and I'm so glad you have arrived.  It's always lovely to meet people from other places "

"Our true diplomat and party are still out some ways but should arrive within the day. They ride by carriage at a more leisurely rate. I was chosen to be herald and to move ahead. Is my form acceptable or should I take one more like yourself?"

"I wish to make a good impression on her majesty here."

Tanique nodded in thought and smiled
"Perhaps anmore standard human form, as a first impression, then getting more creative later"

He starts changing and morphing before her eyes.

The raven guard ready their weapons.

Slowly the form shrinks to a boy of perhaps fourteen or so in appearance and speaking of appearance he did look much more human save for some features like horns and the like.
A voice that seemed much more fitting with the image before her now spoke, "I hope this is better. I have been practicing taking on a human form." he smiled and brushed some hair back from his face.

"it looks lovely "

"Thank you, Lady Tanique. I appreciate your help in this matter. My uncle would kill me if I made a bad impression. I like your horse its elemental form is impressive." He says nodding almost to himself as he looks at Thunderstrike.

"Back in the Courts we have some elemental creatures as well. My own avatar form is water based."

Tanique smiled in delight
"Water based??  That sounds delightful!  I'd love to see that, unless it's too messy"

"Well, it is safest to assume when I am in water, I really wouldn't try it here right now."

The gate door opens and an older raven guard steps through and he cuffs the younger guard, "You could have let the Lady Tanique through." He shakes his head slightly.

"Please Herald, come this way I will show you to the diplomatic suite that has been made available for you."

Jalin gives the slightest bow to the guard.
Then to Lady Tanique, "I hope we meet again." He then follows the guard.

Tanique nodded
"Until next time "

The guards allow Lady Tanique to proceed into the castle.

One gives her a little wave as she enters.

Tanique gave a wave and a smile as she entered.  She needed to get to the Armory to get the chalk bags made, but she had time to make sure all was well with the new arrival

Gavvery has the arrows and bolts ready. When he hears she needs little bags he nods.
"Will do Ma'm." He proceeds without complaint onto the next project she has for him.

In reply to Shadow of the One True GM (msg # 56):

She'll check on the chaos emissary.   She doesn't want to check on her parents because,  you know, Ewww!

Jalin will greet her at the door.

"Hello again, Lady Tanique. I was just setting things up here. How might I help you?" He looks up to her. She is a head and a half taller than him.

Tanique nodded
"Just making sure that you're settling in okay "

"I am doing quite well, setting up all the wards and things to make it comfortable for my uncle and the others in the diplomatic party. I am proud that he gave me this duty. It is a rather nice room I would thank her Majesty but I don't want to overstep my station."

Tanique nodded and smiled
"Don't worry,  there will be time for that later.  Okay, I'll leave you to settle in"

"Till later then, Lady Tanique." He watches her go then gets back to making the rooms comfortable for the Chaos inclined.

He stops before a mirror, "I hope I don't appear too handsome, I wonder if the good Lady is smitten with me? My uncle might try to marry me off for political gain." Jalin's bottom lip trembled.

"I don't want to get married."
