"It isn't so bad here in the Storm lands, but I am kind of ready to head out again myself. Buck you will get to see Tanique again, she was here for breakfast yesterday."

Buck nods, "Like Truquie." Buck smiles.

Liya smiled, “I was hoping to see Tanique as well before Buck and I head out too.”

"Well we can look for her when we are done here. Ask around maybe even have a raven search for her."

“Sounds good to me.” Liya eats her food and takes another sip of her drink.

Soon the group is out in the halls looking around and find that Tanique is asleep for the evening.

Liya will talk with Bastion in private for a bit and tells Buck she will be back a little later. “Here, this is for you too.” She gives Buck one of the blank sketch pads and pencils. “Now you can draw whatever you’d like. I’ll see you in a bit.”

Buck seems happy and will move to one of the windows for light and use the pad and pencils he was given.

Bastion meets with you.

Liya meets with Bastion. “What did you want to talk about?” She asks him.

"What is with your new friend he seems, well I don't want to be rude but kind of simple."

"He just shy ?"

She nods, “I think he is possibly a little simple. But he’s also very capable of learning new things. I brought it up to Violet when she basically asked the same thing. I was wondering if there was a way to help him, without losing his trump abilities. She said you were probably the best person for that.”

"Possibly yeah. I will consult with Violet but I have had a lot of success with enhancement including intelligence. Heck the ravens and some other birds around here are as smart as people. So helping Buck shouldn't be a problem. Still I will want Violet on hand since she knows the most about trumps. You do run into some interesting things I declare you the lightning rod for adventure or mystery." He smiles.

"So what do you think, me and the Queen here ? Yes, no ?"

He smirks, "Relax, I'm messing with you."

Liya rolls her eyes and laughs. “You just say and stuff for the shock factor, don’t you?”

She looked to Bastion more seriously. “I’m going to be taking Buck out into the worlds tomorrow. If you or Violet need us, you have my trump. I want to find out more about his world while we’re there.”

Bastion chuckles, "Yeah, I have been known too. Ok you and Buck stay safe and I will contact you at some point. By the way, the way he reacted earlier, you might want to keep an eye on him. If he gets upset from people treating him nice he might be a lot more used to fights. That could be problematic. Especially with people like Lady Tanique around. Man she really messed up that Demon Lord. Though I saw some of what he did and if she didn't have some kind of powerful protection I think we would have lost her. Good thing this realm has tough people in it."

“I’ll talk to him. If I can learn more about him and his world, maybe I can find a way to help him with his aggression. He’s my responsibility now. I’ll talk to you tomorrow then,” she smiled and turned to leave. “Stay out of trouble, please.”

Liya goes back to see Buck

Bastion waves.

Liya is able to get together with Buck who is sketching his view of things outside of the window. He is so focused he doesn't notice her walk up. He is humming to himself.

Not wanting to startle him, Liya stands a few feet away and clears her throat. “Hi Buck. How’s your drawing going?”

Buck looks around and says, "Buck try." He looks sheepish and shows her.
It is good, it is really, really good at least a hobbyist or talented unprofessional artist level.

He looks shy but he eventually shows her the pad.

She looks at the sketch pad and smiles happily. “Buck, this is really good. I’m impressed. You’ve got a lot of talent hidden away inside of you. Thank you for showing it to me.” She hands him back the pad looking proudly at him.

Taking a seat nearby, Liya looks at Buck for a moment. “I want to talk to you about a couple things. I understand if it’s not comfortable for you, so I don’t want to push you, but can you tell me about what it was like for you growing up? How long have you been able to use trump’s without having them? It’s not common for people to listen or use trump’s without actually having one. I want to know more about you.”

"Buck in war." He makes a boom motion with his hands.

"Fought young." He looks at the ground, "Bad war. Bad bombs."

"Buck strong survive." He looks upset, "Friends die though."

He looks to Liya, "Trumps ?" he shrugs. "Just learn."

Liya frowns sympathetically nodding. “I’m sorry your friends died. Sadly it happens in war. What was the war about?”

“The cards, we call them trumps.  Nobody taught you?”

He shrugs, "Not know. Was young." He sighs, "War stupid."

"New friends adopt." He shakes his head, "Not nice." He points at Liya, "Like you."

"Lightniniya nice, Truqie nice, Majesty nice, Bazteen nice."

"Trump cool." He finally smiles coming out of the apparent gloom.

Liya smiles “I think you’re nice too Buck. I’m proud to be your friend.”

“Trumps are cool. Have you tried to make any?”

He shakes his head, "No one let Buck draw."

"Old friends not give Buck much."

“Well, now you can draw whenever you want. And if you want to try to make trumps too, we’ll try that as well.” She smiled.

“I was think tomorrow before we head out, we can go find Tanique and see if we can convince her to go with us.  I want to show you how traveling through worlds is like. It’s not going to be a nice ride though. Some places are really bad, and the roads can be very dangerous.”

She stood and stretched. “I’m going to get some rest now. You should too.”
