Tanique moved to double check on the birds.

They seem to want to fly and get something to eat this morning.

From what she knows, is that the normal routine for birds, or should she feed them here?

She brought the birds here to train and has been feeding them for about a week now so it has become the routine for them. They seem hungry and a bit restless this morning to stretch their wings.

Knowing that perhaps it would be easier to get them back into their temporary homes if they were still wanting to be fed, Tanique only gave them a little to eat, just to settle them down.

They will eat what you give to them though they do seem to want to stretch their wings.
They settle some though and drink some of the water.

Your father and Ashton are still talking even after you finish feeding all of your performance birds.

Tanique sighed inwardly, and waited.  She remembered how much old people liked to "visit"

Julian finally looks over, "You surprised me. I was not expecting someone from my childhood. I can't even remember telling you about him. One of the stealthiest creatures in existence and animals don't react to him unless he does something to stir them up. The birds here didn't even warn us of the walking furball. I nearly missed movement at all but I saw it reflected in your starlings eyes. I have to be more wary with the things from the Court about." He shakes his head a dark look for a moment.

"It is appreciated, Tanique. The last time I saw him I was younger then you. Thank you. Now I am going to go beat him at chess so I will leave you to your birds though if you need me get in touch with me."

She felt tempted to say that meeting Ashton was a random thing, but decided to let her father bask in "my daughter is brilliant" for a while

She trains the birds in their display flights for most of the day rewarding them to help reinforce their behavior. The day is relatively peaceful.

She can here horns blaring distantly at the castle. It sounds like they are practicing.

You can make out the national anthem and the Queens march among the songs they are playing.

Speaking of practice your birds seem to have fully grasped with work, time and some mental influence what you wish of them and have been performing the displays you planned with them beautifully. Your fairly sure it will go off as planned barring any problems.

"Barring Any Problems" were famous last words, but Tanique was satisfied

What does she do ? It is evening now.

Unless there was pressing business, Tanique would get a meal in the main town

You head to one of the establishments called the Whirlwing Cafe.

You are seated right away and a serving person comes by to tell you what they have.

Tanique chooses something sweet and spicy

A plate of some slathered honey and pepper wings is brought over along with a pitcher of some tropical fruit. Something that is currently in favor with the populace this time of the calendar.

Napkins the fabric kind are provided and are clean and folded into something akin to origami birds.

Tanique tucked in, heartily but daintily

The talk in the place is about the horns playing up at the castle and that something must be going on. A couple people speak of seeing strange flights of birds which sound very much like the display you have been having them practice.

A few people are playing darts and some, card games. It is a lively place with a small band playing music on a stage towards the back of the place. Mostly stringed instruments.

The food is good, which is as she remembers having been here before.

A young man sits at a table with other teens and he seems to be floating an object in the air above the table seemingly to the amazed faces of his companions.

Tanique kept her distance for now, not wanting to spoil any surprises for the populace.
OOC:  Does she recognize the teen, or his magic?

She doesn't really recognize the teen though he is dressed rather nicely most likely of the noble or mercantile class. He doesn't have the riders power though the magic is akin to it using air currents to keep the object afloat. A local variety of magic she has seen before.

She watched the show for a bit as she finished up.  She keeps an eye out for anyone she knew

The Teen seems to use magic to display abilities similar to yourself.

He creates a small crackle of electricity. This elicits some squeals and sounds of awe from his companions. He even does something different and becomes almost invisible becoming like the wind as he calls it. Again, people at his table clap and even some people nearby gasp and make sounds of excitement.

As she looks around, she does see another Lord, Lord Altroon who is sitting alone enjoying a fuller meal. He seems to be watching the teen as well though not applauding or making any sounds of delight or excitement.

Tanique wandered close to the lord, smiling as they watched.
"He puts on a good show, doesn't he?"
