cutscenes of launches: running to TIE's, punching buttons, engines firing, dropping through the force field to the stars; cargo ship, cargo ship, cargo ship.  Flying a leisurely patrol, the beautiful planet of Merisee below; or perhaps the dusty world of Korad.  More cargo ships, some big, some small.  And docking docking docking, helmets rakishly unbuckled, hopping out of the TIE, another patrol complete.  The First Rule of Law Enforcement - Make sure you go home alive.

Arry climbed out of her fighter, pulled off her helmet, and shook her hair loose. "The port thruster has a 0.3% drop in efficiency from the starboard," she told the waiting techs. "It's small but noticeable when making tight turns."

She waited for her wingman to join her before leaving the flight deck and heading back to quarters to clean up and change.

Scenes:

Yahn, writing in his journal in the rec room; Yahn, reading on his bunk.  Running for the TIE; alarms going! In the cockpit, Yahn is still no-nonsense, barely acknowledging.  Still, his flying is sound, holding tight to Arry's shoulder.

Yahn clambers down the ladder; another watch complete.  He pops off his helmet and runs a hand across his hair.  He shakes his head at the Vanger Constek Smermeil as if to say 'nothing special with me', then acknowledges Arry "I guess that's it then, Flight II is here, so see you around? I need some time to decompress, but then I'll get something to eat."

Arry nodded at Yahn and turned back to talk to the techs and engineers working on her fighter. Talking "shop" with them was how she decompressed. She wasn't particularly hungry at the moment but she'd clean up and head to the mess hall later.
