OOC: Shadea, Victor, since I didn't hear from you regarding preference, you should also get a training montage, but then b/c Victor is new, you get a role-play flight.



Shadea, Victor - there you are, just hanging out, on duty, in the hangar, just hanging.  Maybe you're reading, maybe you're playing holochess, or whatever.  But the duty light kicks over to Amber, and a second later, there's the comm in the hangar "Bridge to hangar, prepare to launch.  Flight III, launch as able, launch as able."

The on-duty mechanic crew scrambles - pulling power and pressure hoses from your TIE, and engaging the blast doors so you can drop straight through the floor.   As always, your mission instructions will be on your screens once you clear the forcefield.

"That's us." Osk said to Victor pointing the obvious just in case. In a sudden rush of activity, she put her helmet on and ran towards her fighter. The markings made it easier to recognize it, but the idea that she had a machine of her own assigned still felt strange.

Once behind the controls, she strapped herself in and began to go through all the preflight checks as the systems came online. It would do her no good to rush into the void only to find that the power output was faltering or that the various systems that made the Tie the nimble fighter that it was, were somehow in subpar condition or non-operational at all. "Alright Victor, do you hear me clearly?"

Victor was lying in his bunk reading on his datapad the recent mission records of the Myrmidon when the alarm came.
Nodding at Osk, he stashed the pad in his locker and followed her to the hangar.

"Hear you loud and clear Shadea." he confirmed as he ran through his own preflight checkup and still enjoying the thrill of being allowed to use names, on duty no less.

"Alright then, follow my lead, and hopefully we won't have any new spinning incidents." With all the checks complete, Osk took her Tie into the void, awaiting the information regarding their mission. With some luck, it would be a more peaceful affair than the last, a less jarring experience for the newly arrived pilot.

"Forming up on your Six." Victor's tie swiftly followed Shadea's, keeping some distance between the 2 as they cleared the Myrmidon before tightening their formation.
"Spinning accidents? Heh, sounds like a classic cadet mistake."
