Game Mechanics and House Rules

1st things 1st:

We're all here to have fun.  If everyone makes it easy for others to have fun, we'll all have fun.

We're all here to work together.  I’ve been wanting to see this story told for a long long time, and now is the time. But it has to be a story we tell together.

Those are the two basics.  Next biggest thing is that it's a mature game.  Not an Adult game.  PG-13, nothing crazy, deep breath and don't endanger RPoL or this game, ok?  If you think it might be a yellow card, it's probably a red card.  Be free to contact me if you have questions.

Don't forget that this is a role-playing game.  Sometimes roll playing also, but if it's not role-playing, we're doing it wrong.

The smallest thing is the fonts and colors and all that.  In the real world, the type is all black, and no one has a problem reading it.  Quotes are a thing.  If you use color, fine.  If you don't, fine.  But spellcheck, grammar, word choice and quotation marks matter.

&& Last thing, because we're playing in an established world, keep your characters in the world they are in.  We all know that it wasn't the rebels who torched the planet in Rogue 1, that the Jedi weren't traitors, that the Emperor is a Sith Lord, etc.  We all know that Corsucant gets blown up by the Death Star, etc. etc.

But your PCs, and the NPCs, absolutely do not know this.  You definitely do not even know that the Death Star exists!

Make sure your PC's inhabit their world.  These are new pilots about to embark on the most exciting and most dangerous time of their lives.

Game Mechanics and House Rules

My general pattern is to always read the private notes first, then the OCC game ones, then the in-character ones.
