Calendar/Time/Hyperspace

From https://starwars.fandom.com/wi...ic_Standard_Calendar

The calendar was based on the size and rotation of the planet Coruscant. It was a luno-solar calendar based both on Coruscant's orbit around its sun, and the orbit of its primary satellite, Centax-1. The standard unit of time was the standard second. Sixty standard seconds made up each standard minute, and sixty minutes made up each standard hour. Each day consisted of 24 standard hours. A standard week was 5 standard days, and each month was seven weeks (making 35 standard days each month). A standard year was 368 days, composed of ten months, three fete weeks, and three holidays. As the Hyperdrive Theory allowed space travelers to bypass relativity, a single duration of time passed at all locations equally over a given interval.  Most planets (also) keep local time; but the more connected to the Imperium they are, the more likely that citizens are conversant in both times.

60 standard minutes = 1 standard hour[4]
24 standard hours = 1 standard day[4]
5 standard days = 1 standard week[4]
7 standard weeks = 1 standard month[4]
10 standard months + 3 festival weeks + 3 holidays = 368 standard days = 1 standard year[4]

Days of the week
Primeday
Centaxday
Taungsday
Zhellday
Benduday

Calendar/Time/Hyperspace

SO that's what the ship or starbase, where ever we start, will run on.  It's more for flavor than anything else, but that way I can have a nice briefing clock

2-5-18 0130 (2nd day, 5th month, 18th year of Emperor Palpatine, zero-one-thirty)

and so if we need to skip forward a few days or if there's a thread that's behind on the clock, like a mess hall or something, then we can see the difference.

Hyperspace

https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Hyperspace

Ok, the baseline is that none of us know how it works, and apparently neither does anyone, george lucas included.

I'm open to ideas about it, but I've always envisioned it as an alternate dimension that is coterminous with realspace.  Entry to this alternate dimension, and staying in it, needs an operational hyperspace drive, and a navigation computer.  The path between points must stay clear.  This typically means of both 'mass shadows' brought on from gavitational forces of planetary bodies, but can also mean other things, like a gravity 'well' or other interference that somehow blocks the direct travel to the point in realspace, but is not necessarily present in hyperspace.

I feel like there should be a connection between actual distance and hyperspace time, but that's for a different day.
