Hobbit VS LoTR: what's in this game?

-
What's in this game:

--everything that was in the 1937 first edition of THE HOBBIT, including Gandalf

--Bilbo Baggins has a magic ring that turned him invisible, but it is NOT particularly evil. Also, the Gollum he encountered was way more chill and way less psychotic.

--All goblins are called GOBLINS. "Orc" is just the elvish word for "goblin." "Hobgoblins" are slightly bigger goblins.

--The Witch-King of Angmar was once a thing, up to the north near the Ettenmoors...

--Rangers are a thing but no one has heard of them except a few people on the eastern edge of The Shire, in a town called Bree (who aren't sure if Rangers are good or bad) and elves (who all totally know Rangers = good)

--The wizard Radagast is Gandalf's brother who lives near the edge of Mirkwood (although the PCs don't know that yet!)

--The Necromancer was a guy who made Mirkwood a lot scarier. Then I heard the elves or somebody chased him away, but he might be back now.

--Players can be an Ent if they want but there are no other Ents in the Wilderland-- they're all down in Fangorn Forest to the south

--The exact same thing as goes for Ents goes for Woodwoses

--A very long time ago (longer ago than the Witch-King of Angmar!), there was a great empire of humans (somewhere? to the west?) called "Numenorians." No one thinks much about them these days, but a lot of their very old statues and ruins still exist out in The Wilderland.

--River Maidens are a very rare thing that exists (also Spring Maidens, Lake Maidens, Body-Of-Water Maidens).

--Undead-- barrow-wights, ghosts, vampires

What's NOT in this game:

--Sauron. Who? Never heard that name. Nor "The Enemy." Nor "The Shadow." What are you talking about? The worst villain these days is a guy called "The Necromancer" who made Mirkwood scarier.

--Mordor. "Where's that? Isn't that somewhere way to the southeast, maybe? Barely heard of it."

--Saruman: Who? Never heard of him.

--Gondor, Minas Tirith, Rohan: "Barely heard of them. Where'd you even see those names, on some old map? I guess (now that I think of it) I have heard that they breed good horses in Rohan, but that's all I've ever heard about it."

--It remains to be seen if Tom Bombadil is in this game. If one or more of the players want him to be in this game, then maybe. Otherwise, no.
