Dragons of Despair, Chapter 1.4 The North Road

Dragons of Despair, Chapter 1: The North Road
Location: The North Road near Crystalmir Lake, Abanasinia
Date: Soldai, Early Morning, 24th Reorxmont 351 AC

The morning on the lake was cool and brisk.  The night's storm left the air clean, but very chill, seeing many of the companions wrapping themselves in their cloaks for warmth.  Valik and Vailin soon warmed themselves through exertion, pulling the boats through the morning fog towards the west.  Before the sun had a chance to burn away the morning fog, the boats were crunching through the loose stones and earth which for the lakeshore.  The road was close by, just visible through the trees, stretching south towards Gateway, and curcling away towards the northwest, following the Sentinel Peak mountains.

OOC: I'll need a marching order.  Based on the discussion of the previous night, you're trying for the Tower of High Sorcery.  No one knows precisely where the Tower is, but it is said to reside somewhere in the Forest of Wayreth, southwest of the elven lands of Qualinesti.

Dragons of Despair, Chapter 1.4 The North Road

Ayrron moved almost as if on autopilot as the others walked, towards the back of the group. While he walked, he absent fiddled with something silver - some kind of metal in his hand. When asked what it was, he smiled. "Something to help us" He muttered.

But during teh walk, he was focused on what he was making, looking between that and the path ahead. When asked questions he answered almost like he wasn't listening - the answers of 'yeah, sure' or 'mmmm....sounds good' were muttered while he worked.

surprisingly, his new bag at his side was the source of his materails - pieces of metal, crystals, tools and such. the bag, though a little bigger than a large belt pouch, looked empty, but the items he pulled out seemed endless. At one point he pulled out a pair of smithing tongs with a frown. "Nope....too big." he muttered and put them back, only to remove a small pair of pliers with a smile.

When they stopped, he drank water and ate quickly, all the while the item on his lap or beside him. The item, on closer inspection looked like a bronze and silver filagree puzzle ball, with moving parts and accents of clear crystal.
