After a couple minutes of walking, the group ends up at a clothing store.

"All right!" said Dave.  "Let's look around, and see how bad inflation has actually been..."

He was braced for it, at least.

It was pretty bad, but Tinker waved off your attempts to pay.

That was good of her.  He did have some money, though, and made plans relating to that.  He picked up a fairly normal wardrobe, as far as he could tell, trusting the girls to keep him informed on fashion mistakes.

"Are you three getting anything?" he asked.

"We're good," Scion said.

"Yeah, how about a fashion show?" Red Shift said.

"Well, fair, fair," laughed Dave.  "Okay.  I haven't had anyone to pose for in a while..."

He did his best model walk.  With flirty eyes for all three.

Red Shift whistled as the other two giggled.

He went through the rest of the outfits.  Why not?  It was fun.  He hadn't had relaxed fun in far, far too long.

The girls clapped and whistled appreciatively.

"Well, with that done," said Dave, "do we want to think about getting a snack or a drink or something?"

"Always!" Red Shift said and the other two agreed.

"So where do we go?" Dave asked.

"There's a good burger place not far from here," Scion said.

"I am absolutely up for that," said Dave, whose cybernetic modifications only seemed to increase his metabolism.  (Sure, he had a nutrient paste dispenser.  But he did hate it.)
