"Long strips of dough with meats, vegetables and sauces," Mao said.

"Oh, okay, that sounds nice, let's try it," Heather said, Ruvik chuckled "I'm not going to say no at this point. Noodles it is."

Mao headed out to find a place selling them.

It doesn't take to long to find a small restaurant it was slightly off the main streets, but looked tidy and well maintained "Welcome, welcome" the waitress waiting near the door said "Welcome to the  Lucky Oyster, a table for four?" she asked brightly.

"That's right," Mao said.

"Follow me," the Waitress said with a smile and led them to a table "I'm Lucy and I'll be your waitress. Here are your menus, would you like something to drink while you look?"

"I'll just have some ale," Mao said.

"Okay," Lucy said and took the others drink orders and went to fetch everyone's drinks.

Ruvik leaned back in the chair "I'm looking forward to food that we haven't had to cook or isn't rations."

"It is a nice change of pace," Mao said.

Lucy returned with the drinks and placed them in front of the party members "Here we are your drinks, have you decided what you'd like to order? Or do you want some more time." she asked pleasantly.

"We'll have a couple of orders of this noodle dish with the beef," Mao said.

"Okay," Lucy said writing the order down "The food should not be too long."

"Thanks," Mao said.

Xaio seemed to be nearly quivering in anticipation, "noodles!" she silently cheered.

"It has been a while since we've had them," Mao said.

"It really has," Xaio agreed and soon steaming bowls of noodles in broth were brought out and placed in front of the party.

Mao happily dug in.

Xaio happily dug into the food, and after draining a large swig from his beer Ruvik joined in. Heather was looking a little less sure, and carefully tried some of the dish.

"Come on, eat up!" Mao said with a happy grin on her face.

"This is quite different," Heather said as she continued to eat "Is it food from your homeland?"

"It's pretty close," Mao said.

Ruvik was enjoying his bowl "When we get home we'll have to see if we can convince Mao to treat you to some home cooking Heather," he said.

"It shouldn't be too hard," Mao said.

Heather looked pleased at the idea, "That would be intresting,  what sort of things do you like to cook?" She asked.

"A lot of simple stuff. Noodles, stews, soups. Those kinds of things," Mao said.
