Lack of a common language appears to be an impediment.

I mean, if you choose to talk in a tongue that isn't common, the fact that most of the rest of the team can't understand things is to be expected, right? I'm not saying it's a bad idea, since there's a decent chance that the guard on the cell can hear anything we're saying, it just makes it difficult to join in with the planning. Not that I think we can do much planning anyway - the situation we're in seems inescapable enough that I'm expecting we'll need to get a sense of how things are handled in the day-to-day and look for opportunity rather than just figure out an escape on our own.

As someone in a different group, I'm really curious what language that is!

Having a single OOC group is a bit confusing. We're just tied to the wall right now and figuring if we can do anything about it (signs point to "no"), as I expect everybody else is.

Yeah, not sure what's going on. I don't think we've even finished introductions yet...

Actually, everyone can read it because we have no language groups set up. But I'm doing my damnedest to Not metagame. If my character cannot understand Common, he has no idea what is discussed. Given our common circumstances, though, it's pretty easy to reason it out.

I'm taking a wait and see (in character) for the moment.  Not having language groups isn't an issue to me...and I tend to assume everyone is speaking Common unless they state otherwise.

Same, if language groups were actually a thing I imagine the GM would have set them up already.

It is certainly quite a restrictive situation (literally and figuratively) in which our characters are stewing. We've got some conversation and planning going over it our slice of the shared reality. We'll see how quickly we get smacked down for our troubles…

I've found that December and early January are a little on the wonky side when it comes to RPOL.  Most people tend to be focused elsewhere but eventually wander back in.

Yep, my room mate and I both are nurses So time is a accommodate at the moment, due to having to do cleaning, cooking and laundry. This will change around Friday.
