We'll be using the D20 Modern rules featuring the SHADOW CHASERS campaign Traits. This is heroic horror with a cinematic edge. The horror, in the form of ghosts and supernatural situations, will be intense and potentially overwhelming for the player characters. Unlike a straight horror campaign, however, the heroes have the ability to fight against the monsters and, with luck and perseverance, win.

Please move ahead and create a D20 Modern hero. Roll your base stats here at RPOL using the dice roller. Roll 4d6 for each stat and discard the lowest dice. Then roll 1d4 for your level. If you roll a natural 4 on this roll, you may roll 1d4 again. This second roll does not increase your level (no Agents start at a character level higher than 4), but it will increase the power of your Talents.

All Agents have at least one Talent:

Sight

Sight is the ability to see apparitions, ghost-fog, death-glows, and other ghost productions. Anthony Lockwood possesses this trait.

Listening

Listening refers to the detection of any sound emitting from the ghost or area near it. This includes, in rare cases, live conversations with a ghost, but the only recorded events of this have been Marissa Fittes with a Type Three ghost and Lucy Carlyle

Touch

Touch is the ability to feel the echoes radiating from ghosts or their Source. It is often intertwined with the other two, such as the case of Lucy Carlyle. Carlyle possesses both Listening and Touch.

For each Level you may take a point in the Talent of your choice. If your rolled a 4 on the original 1d4, you may also assign the second dice worth of points across the three talents.

No Talent may be raised to a level above your Character level.

Your Talent level will be used to add to your roll when you attempt to use it. Ghosts will have DC levels to overcome.
