This will be a 4ed Earthdawn game, but this will not take place in Barsaive.  Instead it will be on the same world as Barsaive, but on a different continent, Greyhawk.  New players to this system are welcome; I will teach you the system as we play.  Earthdawn is a Horror themed game, much like Call of Cthulhu and Lovecraft's books.  While the content of Earthdawn might be adult themed, I won't go into graphic details and instead leave those details to your imagination.  I feel Earthdawn is lacking in monsters, so I will be using monsters from other systems to broaden the potential opponents you might face.

All Earthdawn Races will be accepted.  If you have the Cathay Earthdawn book and want to play one of the optional races, I'll allow it, but most races the group will encounter will consist of the Earthdawn Races and new Greyhawk hybrid races

All Disciplines from the Player's Guide are allowed.  I like Panda Gaming, and will allow some of his Disciplines or replacement Disciplines, like The Cavalryman is the primary one I'm considering for talent replacements.  If you would like to use one of the Disciplines from Panda Gaming, let me know which one you'd like to try and we can discuss how it might play out.

All players will start from the same Mountain City of Storm Haven, a small town population of various races in The Frost Mountains.  I'll include a map with the location shown.  There is an Obsidiman Crystal that created a Kear with the people, Obsidiman have lived with in Storm Haven since emerging from their Kaer.

I will be checking the boards regularly, 3-4 times a week.  I will usually be offline on Sundays to spend time with the family.

I ask players to post at least 3-4 times a week, however if others have not replied, wait for others to add comment before flooding the thread.

When posting, please:

Choose a personal dialog color and keep using that as your 'voice' color.

Use Orange to signal OOC comments.  Try not to post too much in your OOC and only post content related to the game.  Use the separate OOC Chat Group for any comment other than game info.

When you post your Attack, Damage, initiative, spellcasting, threadweaving, etc, just post the results, not the entire roll on the dice roller.  I'll double check the dice roller log if needed to verify.

I have customized the dice roller with the 3rd Edd Earthdawn dice roller.  Edit your step as necessary, I used step 8 as the standard step only for the purpose to choose a custom Game System Dice Roller.

If you will be away for vacation, work, etc for more than 3 days, please let me know in the OOC Chat Group.

I prefer players to post their actions, however if the player has not posted in 2 days and their comments/actions are required, I will NPC them as best I think they would act in order to keep the game moving forward.  I will not go back and 'edit' the combat if the player disagrees with their actions.

I ask all players to not post passive aggressive in game posts if you are angry with another player.  If the person has annoyed you, and you can’t let it go, you can PM me of your concerns.  I may address the issue if I feel it is warranted however I may also ask you to ignore the trivial comment and move on.

If you want to address an issue in game to another player, do so verbally so the opposing player can respond.  Don’t posts thoughts about the player which he can’t respond to.  If your character isn’t the type to verbally talk the issue, swallow your anger or post it as a physical action, but adding text is best.
