A Crash Course in d616

The first thing to know is the unique dice system.

Now imagine for a moment that I have three six sided dice in my hand. Two of them are the white dice with black pips that you can find in any classic board game.

I also have a special red d6, and instead of a 1 it has the MARVEL logo on that side. Not only is this ingenious marketing but it's part of the game mechanics. Let's call this dice the dMarvel. When you get the M, it counts not as 1 but as a 6.

When you roll 6-M-6, it's called an ULTIMATE FANTASTIC ROLL. A Crit or a "YES, and..." as we call it in other games.

Even if you fail a roll but still get the M you get a FANTASTIC FAILURE. In other games we'd call it a "NO, but..."

In combat when you roll to hit, the Marvel die doubles as your damage roll. That really speeds things up, doesn't it?

These three dice are the ONLY DICE YOU ROLL for this game.
