Urizumin is home to races that originated from the Golarion system. Despite centuries of effort to expand their holdings and increase their meager population, Fort Aegis (also known as Aegis base) is the only safe haven that has been created on the Babalú peninsula of the Aganju continent. Despite their lack of complete control of the peninsula and continent, Aegis base has stood against all that Urizumin has thrown at it

The majority of Urizumin is full of terrible carnivorous life, a rare few elementals and minor demons. Scout teams exploring the deeper parts of the peninsula have also described vicious, crab-like carnivores before connection is lost, never to be seen again.

What started as a camp for survivors evolved into a military stronghold as inhabitants salvaged and restored the ancient technology left by previous inhabitants. Aegis would have been erased from existence if not for the Guardian Frames, enigmatic semi-autonomous machines that emerged suddenly to combat Urizumin's indigenous creatures. These frames, already powerful, became formidable when paired with a partner, capable of decimating the colossi. Now, Fort Aegis stands as a testament to the resilience of its people, every gadget a piece of reverse-engineered technology from either the guardian frames or the bygone civilization that once inhabited Urizumin.

Some techno-magical sensor or sensors of the planet were alerted when our ancestors arrived. These Sensors communicated with what is believed to be a forward (or rear) base and send the guardian frames to help protect our ancestors from the horrors of this planet. Scientists believe that the population of Aegis base must resemble the population of those who created the Guardian-Frames which is why the frames are so responsive to the biologies of the races of the Pact Worlds.
