Welcome, everyone!

For character creation: Characters will start at 1st-level. All content from the Player's Handbook is fair game, but check with me regarding Expanded Content first; most of it will be okay, but I want to know what you intend to use. Use the 27-point buy method to determine your Ability Scores. Don't roll for starting credits; instead, take the equipment provided by your Class and Background. Let me know when you get a draft of your sheet completed, and I'll look it over. Once everyone has their sheets done, we'll begin.

Everyone will start on Cularin. It is not necessary that you know each other before we begin, but it wouldn't hurt. Feel free to work out those details here.

Rika’s background is being raised by the Jedi. She could know others that were raised or at least trained with the Jedi.

So you took the Jedi background as well? Rinee was trained as a Jedi in the Jedi Temple and now she's a Sentinel. So Rinee and Rika probably know each other.

So you guys are why I'm not a Wookie Jedi.... don't worry. I'll still watch your backs.

It is disappointing I've applied to play a Jedi twice now and ended up playing something else, though.

Rika is a bit of a temple bunny so less likely to know non-Jedi but she could have met anyone while following her master.

I'm working on my sheet right now.

Kin is from Cularin, but I don't envision him having spent much time around the Jedi temple there, so he likely wouldn't know either Rika or Rinee.

I'm pretty sure I've got Rinee's sheet done. If you want to take a look GM, that'd be great.

Jedi could know others through work with the populace. I think of Obiwan and Anakin chasing criminals through the air and streets.

Kin and Rinee have their sheets completed, and they look good. Everyone else, let me know when you get your sheets done. We'll start soon.

I sent you mine. Did you need it inputted somewhere else? Edit: I finally found the edit character sheet button. I am still not used to this new layout.

Anora, I thought you were at the table with Rika, Rinee, and Grennyk. The bartender was talking to Kin.

I am at the table, I guess I thought the bartender was delivering the drink Grennyk ordered to the table. If not, she will wait until some kind of table service is offered and then ask about drink options.

I'm in the process of recruiting a couple of replacement characters for those we've lost. Expect to see some new characters soon.

Will there be action for those who did not go to House Hirskaala?

I will try to get you involved, but I didn't realize you were still with us. You haven't responded to my last post.

All of your posts have been about what is happening elsewhere since the action left the cantina -- but some of us are less trusting of authority and did not go to visit with the security forces at House Hirskaala -- which they had just watched abduct a young man in broad daylight.

I almost feel like inserting myself into a conversation with people who know nothing about me is almost MORE creepy than just standing by a wall like a statue.  I was trying to put myself into a position where someone would address me, but that doesn't seem to be working.  Out running errands right now...will look at the post later and be a rude little combat droid (like I am) and insert myself.

You gotta post, bub. Otherwise, the other players forget you're there. It's not like we're all actually in the cantina. We have to key our writing off of what others put out there.

Anora, with a blaster pistol, your attack rolls should be made at +4 to hit, and your damage should be 1d6+2. And if you use Critical Analysis, it would be +5 to hit and 1d6+3 for damage.

My sheet lists a vibro-stiletto as a weapon I own, though I seem to have no skill. Is this valid? If so, what do I roll to attack? Can I have the blade in my left hand and the pistol in my right? Possibly dealing two blows at once (though at a disadvantage, I realize) -- it seems very swashbuckly. Thanks.

Sorry, Anora, I read your question and meant to respond, but then totally forgot about it...

You do have proficiency with the vibrostiletto; it is a martial weapon with the Finesse property. You would roll +4 to hit and 1d4+2 for damage. Also, it scores a critical hit on a 19 or a 20.

Yes, you can do that. Your attack with the blaster in your right hand would have Disadvantage due to the creature being in melee with you. And your attack with the stiletto in your left hand would only do 1d4 damage, but it wouldn't have Disadvantage.
