Core Game Concepts

Combat Style

- Weapons-based
 - Knives (Stealth, Weak Points, Instant Death)
 - Short Blade (Teleports, Speed, Damage Stacks and Cashing In)
 - Axes (Bleeds/Status, Cleave, and bonuses from other Status Effects)
 - Longswords (Parries & Ripostes, "Finesse" Killchains) (The Autocannon of Melee weapons, great at everything)
 - Bludgeons (Crushing Damage, Crippling, Stuns and Slows)
 - Great Blades (Unstoppable, Big Body, Berserk)
 - Polearms (Armor Bypassing, First Strike Bonuses, anti-Big Body)

Light:

Core Game Concepts

DAMAGE

There is a single Damage cap called "Overkill" that can be achieved by each weapon's core Effect attribute.

Knives: Weak Point Instant Death mechanic
Short Blades: Cashing in Damage Stacks
Axes: Cleaves against Status-affected targets
Long Blades: Finesse Kill Chains (Killstreaks build damage)
Bludgeons: Obliteration (The harder you hit, the harder your next hit becomes)
Great Blades: Berserk (The harder you're hit, the harder you hit back)
Polearms: First Strike Banking/First Strike Chains ("Patience" mechanic, defensive or assist play to "store" First Strikes for big damage across multiple targets, or a single big hit)
