Blessed Birthday, JohnA1nut!  :)

With this Corona virus crap, I totally would have expected we'd be jammed with players.

This thing still says my birthday message from Oak!!!

Questions for Oak and Tadeusz.

What would you teach versers if you were an instructor in a world populated completely by versers? Your divergents are present in the world in which Scord is running. What would your characters teach if you were there?

Magehammer of course teaches a wilderness survival class.

So you'd teach people how to call fire down from Heaven and how to cause pestilence and plagues. You are aware that there are multiple versions of the bible out there. Are you using only one or are you using others that you've picked up on your travels?

And don't forget, when someone asks "What would Jesus do?" That includes running into a temple with a whip made out of cords and driving out the people inside. I wonder what Multiverse versions of the bible say......

I am in end-of-semester crunch mode, but that is actually a really interesting question.  Let me ponder a bit.

Meanwhile, I have updated the subject line as requested... ;)

You've got a backpack or something that you acquired in Verser World. It's a four dimensional, infinite storage hypercube. It was invented by a verser named Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius.

The hypercube you've got will allow you to pull out any item you might reasonably need. Roll of duct tape, first aid kit, an AK-47, etc. The stipulation is that the item would have to fit inside the backpack.

This is from Sergeant Major Tadeusz' game. What does Oak think of it as a game mechanic? Magehammer is known to carry a huge backpack.

What do you guys think?

Gotcha Tadeusz.

It's just, people all too often overlook the not so great miracles.

Indeed.  If you can, make a list of small to large (in multiple ways) miracles and teach from start to end.

I don't know how deep I'm going to go with the character, if at all. He just be mentioned in passing. I was just curious about you and Oak. How you felt about what would be important to teach n00b versers.

Magehammer believes the most important thing for n00b versers to know is how to feed yourself. So he teaches wilderness survival. To quote him: "It never ceases to amaze me how many n00b versers want to learn the fancy magic and psionics before they learn how to feed themselves."

While I'm new here, I would like to chime in with a response to what John said.

Needing to feed yourself may be all well and good, but in my experience "civilized" people seems to be very finicky about what is and is not good to eat. And it is much deeper than "I like this, but I don't like that," reactions or obedience to religious dietary laws.

You must be new to Multiverser. "Civilized" is a very relative concept in the Multiverse. That food your religion bans may be all there is to eat on this world. Unless you're really serious about dying before you would eat it.

Besides, that's just one verser's opinion.

Actually, I was thinking of how people where I am (off-line) react to me expressing a desire for mice (after seeing a recipe for them I wanted to try), or to the bag of cricket chips I bought at the school bookstore, or even to perfectly innocuous fruit being brought home from the market just because it was one unfamiliar to them.

You're a round peg in a square hole. That's good. You'll fit in this game perfectly.

Verser World is kind of meant to be a training world. In that, there's literally anything you could possibly want to learn or acquire. If you can find it.

But yeah, trying new things is the foundation of my existence. I drove past an Ethiopian restaurant once and went in on a whim. I now love Ethiopian food.

Hey Carl. How familiar are you with Multiverser? Would you like to run in two games simultaneously? I'm always up for running players.

Let me know!!!
