You have versed out, possibly saving the elite exiled psionic Imperials from the Ten Stars Empire from the genocidal vengeance of the Commoners of that same Empire.  You picked up an automatic ceramic rifle with thirty darts, and +@1 Pistol skill with +@1 Rifle skill.

You dream of Trump trying to sell you a gold plated hotel due to the utterly laughable reason that he's now the President and doesn't need a hotel anymore.  (I like Trump but if you'd told me he'd be prez when you versed out, I would have been skeptical.)

You wake sitting up, at Level Two on versing now, if not before.  Its dark out, and you're leaning against a tree trunk.  The grass is fine, and neatly cut.  A moon like Luna is overhead and you see the Big Dipper.  The temperature is cool, and in the distance you hear the honking of a horn.

Nothing at first, but then the twitter of birds, and a lightening of the dark, and then the sun kisses the horizon and a splendid natural harbor is visible to you from your hillside park.  In the middle is a large island with an airport on it, and some navy ships are near you with much more further off to the right.

Magehammer in Pearl Harbor

I think to myself "This better not be Pearl Harbor again. If I run into the MP.... What was his name? Reese Powell, I believe...... Gonna have to hurt him....."

So Magehammer rises to his feet and begins walking. As far as weapons, I disowned the 9mm and the AK-47 in the last world. For one thing, I would have been out of ammo for them a few worlds ago. For another, I think Magehammer would change his strategy regarding firearms.

I'm carrying a large-caliber base Lethal revolver and a lever-action rifle which takes the same ammo. Revolvers and manual action would be a lot easier to find ammo for. It just has to match the case diameter. The length isn't as much of an issue. Bolt action, single shot, double barrel, lever action, pump, etc. Not nearly as finicky about what ammo you feed them as an automatic.

And of course, that laser pistol and the double barrel shotgun. It's loaded with one explosive and one flamethrower.

And that ceramic rifle I picked up in the last world.

Start walking. Hand on my revolver.

As the sun rises over the harbor, you see more WW2 era ships drawn up in a line further out inn the harbor.  You pass a wooden sign with burned in letters 'McGraw Point Park' which is next to a gravel parking lot, and from there take a gravel road downhill to a long two lane that leads on the right to the port and on the left to deeper into the island.  The only threat you've seen so far is some rambunctious squirrels.

I say it out loud "This better not be Pearl Harbor!!!!"

And I throw up a shield of Order energy. I don't care if I can be seen, I just want to be bulletproof. Like completely six inches away from myself bulletproof.

Keep searching. Head away from the boat docks. I'm looking for an exit.

You link air molecules to air molecules and have your shield.  Its a little visible as it bends the light slightly, but not obviously so.  Away from the docks leads you to the left down a long, and pretty straight two lane highway with jungle covered hills rising on both sides.

Its warm, and you sweat, but you're in good shape so you keep up a brisk pace.

I'm gonna burn this place down. Then I'm going to head to the main base and start burning things. Things like ships, fuel supplies, ammo depots, things like that. I want tomorrow's attack by the Japanese to be a footnote compared to the damage I'm about to bring down on them.

So yeah. Destruction and carnage!!! Let's get it on!!!!

Ok.

The surfers and beachgoers stare in amazed shock as you gather white fire around yourself.  And then you head back down the road you just rode up.  Its about five miles back to the harbor, and the road is cracking under your feet as Chaos breaks its bonds.

And not all that far under your feet, you can feel great sources of Chaos that you identify as magma, and out around you, in the water, your senses stop as liquid water and Order/Chaos magic don't get on that well.

Power is roaring through you....

I will destroy everything. The attack tomorrow is going to look like a footnote compared to what I'm going to do.

So, super speed to where I can destroy something important.

You start hooking the molecules of water together to freeze the water.  Its hard as there is so much static in open water.  In your first attempt, you get a seventy two foot deep and wide expanse of the harbor frozen to four inches.

You can feel the order of the road behind you, and the order of the buildings, and you can tap into this if you like.  Or you can continue powering this on your own.

Whichever causes the most destruction to them and the least amount to me.

Maybe not freeze the water. Freeze the ships and all of the inhabitants?

You don't understand. Magehammer wants this place to be a pile of ashes when he's finished. He wants the Japanese attack to not even be recognized in the aftermath of what he's doing.

So, if the question is "This or that?" the answer is "Whichever hurts them more and me less." Got it?

Scan the horizon and surrounding area with Order vision until I find a relatively weak spot in the ground. Squeeze it until it pops like a pimple, spewing forth beautiful lava. (Magma under gound, lava above ground.) Order it into the path of something with a highly flammable/explosive signature. The magazine of a battleship? An ammo storage center?

This is a military base. Has anyone challenged me?

But yeah, pop out some magma and burn something down.

You're near the shore and a sub division of houses, not really in a heavy military presence yet except for the ships in the harbor which a couple have started to blare alarms.  You see a weak spot nearby, and break the Order chains of the ground above it, and lava spills out, and rolls into the water.  This sends up clouds of steam, and another stream of lava rolls into a house setting it on fire.

More lava burps out of the ten foot tall and four foot wide gap/small lava hill.

At the rate things are going, you're going to burn down the subdivision in about an hour.  Its about a hundred acres.  But you can feel more magma down below, eager to rise...

There are enormous scary levels of forces below you.  You think you could probably, maybe wipe out all of Pearl Harbor with a volcano....if trying did not rip you apart, and if you were not caring about surviving.  The whole island chain is volcanoes, and if you shunt some water, and let the magma rise.....well, they might hear the boom in San Francisco.

OOC) OIC!!! Interesting..... Perhaps I'll save that for last resort.....

Channel the Chaos through me. I want to throw lava from my hammer. Or something like it. And get away from the houses. I didn't want to hurt civilians. See if I can get somewhere with more military people. Super speed if possible. Wrap myself in Order/Chaos fire hot enough to melt incommming bullets.

But I want to destroy this place. Burn it down. All the Chaos I could ask for is at my feet.

If I get the chance, I want to melt a hole in the side of a ship.

You wrap order around the lava, and let it compress, until you let the pressurized lava burst out one side.  A stream of lava about the size of a trolley car flings itself across the harbor and splashes down near a destroyer missing it.

You wrap yourself in a stronger shield, and more alarms blare, including from near the naval base.

Shifting into superspeed, you reach the outer fence gate of the base.

It seems like it would work, and indeed you do Chaos up more wind, this time doing that Windpushing trick you botched at successfully this time.  As for the fuel dumps....you drop three balls of Chaos on each, and they slowly burn through the exterior and ignite the masses of fuel.  Its not much of an explosion but it gets the job done.

From they sky, pull Chaos out of the ground and direct it into the battleships. From up here, I should be able to see Battleship Row. 20 battleships docked in a parking lot. If I see the Arizona, I'm attacking that one in particular. That was one of two that was sunk by the Japanese. I'll do their job for them.

If I survive this, I'm gonna get a lawn chair and sit and watch the attack unfold tomorrow. The Japanese won't know what to think.

But yeah, bring some Chaos fire from the ground and into the ships.

I'm flying. Anybody bringing planes to bear against me? A squadron of P-51 Mustangs might make an interesting opponent at the moment.

OOC) I read that the engine exhaust of the P-51 Mustang is so powerful, they pointed the exhaust ports backwards and that gave the plane an additional 5-10 MPH in flight. Just the exhaust.

Okay, try that again, but this time, use Order/Chaos vision to try to locate the ammunition storage magazines. Each one of the battleship shells is about 2,000 pounds of high explosives, and the ships are carrying hundreds of them. It would probably look black with white just itching to burst forth. Well, Imma make the white burst forth.

Focus on the battleship ammo storage. Imma blow some ships up!!!!!!

I read about a parachuting pilot who was shot down and, whilst parachuting, shot down a Japanese Zero with his 45 sidearm. Planes of this era weren't particularly..... not sure the word I want there. But I'll be waiting for them.

So, fly and attack battleships. From this altitude, can I scan the horizon with Order/Chaos vision and locate the Japanese fleet? Maybe when I'm done here I'll pay them a visit......

OOC) THANK YOU FOR THIS ERIC!!!!!!!!! It is SOOOO therapeutic!!!!!

In reply to JohnA1nut (msg # 43):

BAM!!

A battleship vomits out black smoke and fire before tilting on its side.

BOOM!!

Another battleship erupts in flame.

BWAWHOOM!!

A third battleship jumps into the air and breaks in half.

BANG.

A fourth battleship has an explosion, but the ship is still functioning.

And yes, the colors are correct as you describe what the shells look like.

OOC) Thank you Eric!!!!

Looking for airfields now. Wave at them before I flamethrower their planes.

Anybody taking off after me yet? Planes in the sky?

Just fly and destroy. And laugh. Laugh heartily.

I wonder if Sergeant Reese Powell is down there..... He's the son of a motherless camel MP who arrested me last time I was here. Look for him.

Battleships, planes, fuel, mayhem, carnage, death and destruction.

LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!!!!

In reply to JohnA1nut (msg # 45):

You wave at them and some of them on the ground shoot rifles and pistols at you but all miss.  Five planes are launching, and you hit one as it takes off so that it fireballs and drops to skid along the airport lane.  Four others get up.

And then you start to strafe the lines of planes on the ground, all neatly and easily displayed, but something goes wrong....the Chaos dives past the planes and into the ground connected with the deeper magma....

You are not sure how big a volcano you caused in the midst of Ford Field, but it is rising to the surface quickly.

OOC: Another botch.

And it couldn't possibly be better!!!!

How much damage is it doing? If I could keep doing that..... Or not.

Well, that area is toast. Search for planes attacking me. Fly around and look for things to destroy.

The volcano bursts the surface and vomits chunks of flaming stone and smoke and steam up five hundred feet.  One fighter gets hit by a rock bomb and blows, and another gets dust in its engines and goes down.

The last wheels about at you, and tracer bullets began to fly past you even as you realize there is a lot more energy in a twenty mm fighter cannon than a rifle.

Several, maybe four or five bullets hit, and two rip through your shield and into your chest.  A spike of pain from magic backlash hits hard, but your ride through it even as rock bombs begin to drop into the harbor.  Only one destroyer is hit, and it tilts a bit on its side.  Otherwise a lot of splashing and near misses.

Am I alive? The "Shield" as you call it is my surrounded by Order and flaming on Chaos fire. Like Johnny Storm. Hopefully it will melt anything incoming.

I'd totally believe a 20 mm could get through it mostly intact.

So am I dead or what? If not, try to heal myself. I imagine I'm probably free-falling back to the ground whilst in pain. Eject all of that as Chaos at the plane that shot me. Eject my pain and injuries as Chaos at the plane that shot me. Draw Order from wherever and heal myself.

Is that plane still flying? What's he up to?

Assuming I survive the above:

Add a bit of Order to the volcanic rocks being spewed forth. They're mostly iron IIRC. Add some Order to them. Make them magnetic. So they're attracted to the battleships. I want this place to rain fire and blood. I want the Japanese to turn around and leave without firing a shot because there's nothing left to do.

Fly around and destroy things.

In reply to JohnA1nut (msg # 49):

As you free fall,  you stop the bleeding, but you're still torn up inside.  You eject the chaos in a ball of fire that lazily wanders toward the targetted plane.  It easily slips past it being several orders of magnitude faster.

And by the time you try the second,  he's out of your view, and somewhere in the sun so you can't see him.  It probably means he wheeled up in a  loop and is diving down at  you from out of the sun.

You try to make the rocks magnetic, and it fails.  Then before you hit the water, you stabilize at a hundred feet.  You are a bit shaky on the flight.  And t hen you reach out and try to magnetize the rocks again....

You see the nearest battleship's guns start to groan as they rotate, and then the battleship leans...toward  you.  Rocks are flying at you.

You've magnetized yourself.

OOC: You know what that was.

Magneto would be proud.......

Try to throw the battleship. Draw it towards me, then move out of its way. I'd prefer to throw it onto land, but anywhere would be fine. Especially if it knocks that pursuit plane out of the sky.

And dodge the lava rocks whilst I'm at it. Maybe try to divert them at the land?

Indeed, Magneto would be  proud.

You yank the battleship out of the water and barely slip out of the way, having to run across the surface of it to escape.  Meanwhile rocks are coming your way, and dodging is challenging, but you duck, you weave, and you dive off the hull as the battleship flies behind you in an arc that you think will have it land on the base, but you don't have enough time to look.

Panting for breath, and your guts sloshing about in your chest in a way that seems downright weird you are airborne, and not sure what happened to that plane, and then it buzzes past you in a dive before pulling out.

Try to land in an area that looks safe.

Check for where the battleship fell. My hope is on top of a lot of people.

Are things being pulled to me? Me to other things? Try to discharge it by approaching something metal.

Where's the plane?

And try to heal myself.

The battleship wiped out a couple buildings, but its real damage to the base is going to be the fire it spreads and the explosion  that rips out is guts as it lays on its side across several roads.

You're coming down to the beach which is abandoned by now with chairs tipped over and towels left behind.  But yes, many things are flying at  you.

As a destroyer lifts out of the water, you try to discharge.....pause for falling beneath a football sized rock that screams through w here you were....and it circles back around.....and the plane is being dragged your way....bullets rip you to shreds....you have time to see your lower half of  your body falling away from you.....'hey's that's my legs'  you think, and.....
