Jogging farther forward to the very bottom of the cliff, Pello suddently stops as he judges the range between himself and the nearest Gnoll. Nodding to himself he begins to call out the magical words "Pyro Syrte Narto Lax. Martenan Sulte Afridate Surte!"

As the last word springs from the gnome's mouth he points the palm of his hand towards the nearest Gnoll, and an orb of fire springs from the palm's surface, flying directly towards the furry humanoid.

Milo rides ruff forward, within 25 ft of the Gnolls and raises his hands he speaks in the language of the druids and asks the light to flare before the Gnolls eyes.

Expecting the attacks from readied weapons, Erdthar sidesteps, then quickly closes with one of the Gnolls.  In his haste, however, his swing misses badly, and he is lucky to keep his feet.

Round 3 ends

Cue action music


Erdthar advances in on the two reaming Gnolls, he side steps in order to get into attack position, with his last step he brings his axe down in a wood chopping motion. The enemy gnoll growls as his shield deflects the blow from the Orc. The gnoll counters Erdthar's attack with an axe chop of his own, the laughing beast swings high in an effort to take Erdthar’s head (8 miss). Erdthar ducks to keep his head.
As the gnoll counters Erdthar’s attack a bolt zooms across the battlefield from Gimuld's bow, and then another, both missiles missing their mark.
Vespian sees her chance and dashes across the battlefield closing the distance between her and the enemy.
Pello moves forward to get into spell range as he gets close enough he begins his incantations. Then! An orb of fire burst from his hand shooting for an enemy gnoll. The orb hits (22 saved for half), but the gnoll deflects some of the damage.
Quindil launches another arrow, but the long range seems to be affecting his shot, the arrow falls short.
The Second remaining gnoll moves into attack Erdthar. (11 miss) Erdthar’s quick feet move him aside.
Milo and Ruff move up into the action, as he rides, Milo is able to unleash one of his spells and at the moment a bright flash of light erupts before one of the gnolls, causing him to yelp in pain. (Failed save)

Erdthar swings again at the first gnoll, not so clumisily this time,  but not solidly either.

Pello also decides to withhold another spell, fearing that he might hit Erdthar. And a quick look around reveals that other people are moving in to help the orc. So, the gnome simply watches.

Milo urges Ruff to move forward again, trying to flank the Gnolls. Ruff runs in with Milo on his back then Milo Jumps off and moves forward to flank the Gnoll hopeing to lower its defense

Move: N-22 (this should flank gnoll 3 lowering its AC)
Action:Get off Ruff with quarterstaff in hand.
Today: Milo Hardbottle rolled 9 using 1d20+3. Ride Check.


I am small remember so am I +1 to AC against thes fellas ?

End Round 4



Erdthar holds his ground as he swings at the enemy Gnoll. The Gnoll’s armor deflects his blow to the side with no effect.
Gimuld hustles around the cliff and comes up to assist Erdthar, as he runs Gimuld retrieves his Morningstar.
Vespian takes a step back and launches another arrow, but the shaft goes wide.
Pello holds his line and watches the action fold out in front of him.
Quindill decides that it is time to change weapons, he stows his bow and reaches for his spear as he heads toward the battle.
The two Gnolls attack Erdthar with viscous intent. The first Gnoll takes a swing as his comrade moves in behind Erdthar, in an effort to flank. The first Gnoll’s swing comes from the right in a downward slash; Erdthar again is able to bypass the blow (5 Miss). The Second Gnoll moves around to Erdthar's back making the large Orc sift on his feet as the axe swing comes high (8 Miss).
Milo continues his advance; he dismounts and moves up into position to defend Erdthar.



OoC: Milo your +1Ac is already calculated into your ac.
Also if you can Flank you get +2 to attack bonus.

Not wanting to be left out of the fun, the red headed lass drops her bow and runs into the battle while drawing her Great Sword into position.

Gimuld moves next to Gnoll #1 so he can help Erdthar and Milo. He grips his Morningstar with both of his hands

Attack: Attack using Morningstar+Sneak attack on Gnoll 1

Erdthar swings viciously into the side of the nearest gnoll.

You get to multiply your strength bonus to damage when weilding a weapon 2-handed, not total damage.  In my case, this is +4 going to +6.  you also always round multiples down, (even if they come to something like 3.9, it's only a 3 and not a 4)

Erdthar and Gimuld seem to be getting used to each others fighting style. The two work in secession as they attack one of the enemies.
Erdthar swings at the Gnoll Tearing a gash in the enemies left flank. Gimuld moves about and lands a soild blow with his morningstar, crushing the skull of the enemy!
One enemy still stands!

G1 down!!  Round continues!


Erdthar is correct, you multiply the STR bonus by 1.5. Then add that to the damage. No worries. 12dmg did the job ;)

Quindil sprints up to the battle, moving closer to the skirmish.

Full round action: move from &20 to p25 (A distance of approx 115 ft, as I trace it, well within his top speed).

End Round 5

Vespian and Quindil advance as they try to get into the action. Pello continues to hold his line.
With the party closing in around him the last remaining Gnoll continues his fight. He franticly swings out at Erdthar with his axe, but he can not connect the blow.(11 Miss)
Milo moves forward and wacks the Gnoll in the back of the leg with his staff, casing him to “Yelp” in pain.
