End Round 6

Erdthar Swings a Mighty Swing on the Gnoll, But the beast moves to the side. As the Gnoll turns away Erdthar's blow Vespian is there with an even Mightier Swing that tears deep into the shoulder of the gnoll, nearly severing his limb. The gnoll krunches to the ground, as his life force ebbs forward.....into the afterlife.

"Search for diamonds!"

Oh what,, They dead? Sorry, the life flow ebbing forward confused me, I thought it meant the creature was close to death but still had the opportunity to attack back.

Round up

As you search the gnoll's and the surrounding area, you come across many visible tracks and the area is well worn down from heavy traffic. Close by, over near the gnoll's packs, sets a small pine wood box(approx 18"x12"x8"), the lock that once held it shut has been busted. Inside the box is a large amount of silver coin(1000sp), each coin has a symbol of a flaming axe on one side and an anvil with a hammer on the other.
Each gnoll carries a small pouch with a smattering of coins.(Total:13gp, 27sp), their axes are decent, however their smelly armor is not more than scrap.

Re: Round up

Vespian looks over at Pello. "Listen you, don't think I haven't noticed that we were trying to be all quiet, subterfuge and stealthy, and your all about shouting at the top of your lungs and given away our element of suprise! So youi know what?!" She puts her hands on her hips, You are just the cutest thing, yes you are, c'mere and let me hug you like a little red headed teddy bear!

Attempts to pick up Pello and squeeze him like a cute little teddy bear. Gee Myth DM, what do I roll for that?

Helplessly dangling from Vespian's grasp, the sage gnome mutters "Oh, I try. Indeed I try."

Actually, from the look of Pello's face, one might think that he is actually enjoying Vespian's attention.

Quindil goes to see if either of his arrows are reusable.

Quindil Liahstia rolled 3 using 1d20-2. Search for arrows.

I'm guessing the one that hit the gnoll is borken, and the one that fell short...prolly won't find it with a roll like that.

Which way

After dispersing the enemy the company rummages through the belongings of the gnolls. Some good plunder to be had. As the party finishes up, the sun is high in the sky, the clouds work there way south through the clear blue sky.
The gnoll tracks can be easily followed by Erdthar or anyone else with track or scent. However the tracks go south and west, and the mine is true north of here.
If the map that Drace had was even close to accurate, then the Old Lookout is just a couple hours walk north, it should be in sight soon.

Over The River

The party continues on their journey north toward the Cryoden Mines. They leave their last encounter with a bout of confidence, maybe even over confidence. After a bit of walking through the surrounding cliffs and boulders the Vale begins to flatten out as you approach the river valley. From your view point you look down into the valley, the elevation from your point down to the river drops a total of 800’, the route is easily traversed as the hill side slightly slopes downward. In the distance just across the river one can see the Outlook posted on top of a large outcropping of rocks. The outlook raises high above the surrounding terrain perched between to massive boulders to its east and west.
The river valley is beautiful with its long green blades of grass, groves of shrub oak and dotting of boulders. The blades of grass wave innocently as the slight breeze pushes through them.  The grass is thick and approx 2’ tall.
The River Redrun is large and fast flowing; luckily the old ford is still in good order, making it easier to cross, once you get there.
The route to the Outlook is clearly marked, yet somewhat over grown, as it does not get used very often. The new Outlook along the road to Felbarr has taken its place. Leaving the Old Outlook in disarray and ill maintenance, however from this distance it still seems to have a roof.

Initiative. Marching order? As well as any skill checks.
