I realized today that in games where I only have access to Group 0 and Group 1, Group 1 does not display on the main thread list. (You know, in the part where it says 'For <group whatever> by <author> with <however many> replies' in the righthand column next to the thread titles.)

In games where I have access to ANY group above and beyond 0 and 1, all groups display properly in that column, including Group 1. But if I ONLY have access to Group 0 and Group 1, Group 1 threads aren't showing a group label in that column at all. (Group 0 threads are still being tagged properly as group 0, which is making my eye twitch like mad, because then only SOME threads have bright green group tags and others don't.)

Not sure if this is a new glitch, or if I'm just now realizing it, but it definitely feels like a glitch (and feels newish, because I feel like I would have noticed before that one of my games wasn't displaying shiny green group tags, but it's possible I just really wasn't paying attention there...)

Did you set your characters to be able to access group 1? That might be where your problem is? Are you the GM for the game? Babs

I am not a GM for those games. My characters do definitely have access to Group 1, because it says '(Groups 0 & 1)' in the top right corner next to 'Filter', and when I filter for Group 1, I see Group 1 threads.

They're fine and visible. I can see them, and post in them. They're just not being labeled as being 'group 1' in the column that provides thread information, if I don't have access to any other groups *besides* groups 1 and group 0.

Group 0 threads *are* being correctly labeled, even when Group 1 is not, which is what is making my eye twitch.

I've never noticed it before but now that I've looked I can confirm for games I'm a player in that only have Group 0 and Group 1 posts there is no label for the Group 1.

Though I can't recall at all when that might have happened.  I don't think it was that way on the old site but I wouldn't bet very much on that as I really can't say.

Probably not, the game thread main screen changed a fair bit between the old site and responsive, so I'm confident it relates to the old site only, though it might be old code behaving in an unexpected way in the new environment ...

Sunruaner and nauthiz, can you each rmail me a link to one of the games where you're experiencing the problem, please - that way I can refer this as a bug to jase and include them as an example.  :>     (Nobody else needs to send an rmail, if they were considering it - two examples will more than suffice !  <grins> )
