Brother Thomas Buckley was once a member of The Church of Seven Thunders, serving with the Ministry of Reverend Brimstone, a zealous missionary with a mission -- the cleanse the world of the spawn of Satan (ie, Abnormals). But during a mission to capture the infamous fireslinger Supernova, Brother Buckley was shot, and began to die...and then his own Flare Sparked, saving his live but changing his appearance. And he discovered his fellows were not about to let him off the hook just for being one of them. So he wanders, wondering what to do with the pieces of his broken life. Only one thing is clear; there is good, there is evil, and sin must be punished.
