In what looks to be his late fifties with more than his fair share of wrinkles Gavin Gerson is not an impressive figure. Slightly shorter than average, in passable shape with hair already white and kept neatly cut he would not stand out of a crowd. A small hearing aid is tucked into one ear and he wears some plain glasses of no notable brand. Usually attired in fairly plain jeans shirts he could be best described as neat and unassuming.

His alias is slightly more dramatic in look, favouring attire in deep crimson shades that blend surprisingly well into darkness. The basics of his costume is what looks like a skin tight layer if exceedingly sturdy material below much more imposing body armour and a solid face covering with a somewhat overly dramatic cape and wide hat added atop but customisation occurs near constantly on the garb. The attire is completely body covering with his mask a plain design that encloses his head, more like a helmet than anything else, but occasionally he will try different components giving looks of a single oversized eye, geometric shapes, convoluted patters and more. In costume his physique seems to shift just as often, some days he looks to be close to seven feet tall and with the sort of build that would put body builders to shame, other days he's notably shorter and leaner.
