Darius Snowden is a 34 year old, half-elf man. A Ranger by self-training and out of necessity. He is the youngest of 6 kids - four older brothers and a sister. He was born 2 years after his Mom’s husband died from a wild boar goring. So he is a half brother, and everyone in the family and in town could easily determine that Darius was conceived out of wedlock and not by a human. Despite his 6’ height and broad, strong frame, he is shorter and lighter than all four of his half brothers - and about the same height and weight of his half sister. Unlike the rest of his family, his hair is lighter, his skin is fairer, and he bears a few telltale features that betray his elven father’s lineage - he has a partially grown beard that pales in comparison to the full, dark beards of all his half brothers.

He grew up just outside of town on his family’s homestead. They did some farming, but also engaged in trapping and hunting the surrounding forests for self sustenance and sale of extra to neighbors and in the town. Mom was/is tough and now runs the homestead on her own. The brothers and their wives and families all still live on the family property. His unmarried half sister helps around the house and runs the sale cart in town when they have extra goods to sell.

Because of his heritage, Darius never really fit in. He was picked on by his half brothers and by others in town. His face betrays the long history of being picked on. A number of facial scars and a history of repeated broken noses is obvious. He worked on his strength to try to defend himself and keep the bullies at bay. He keeps his hair shoulder length and grows a beard, even though it is not full, to hide traces of his elven heritage. He is a loner by nature and handy with his hand axes.
