Ranger Lord Giles Darkwood, heir to the Darkwood estate and all the lands around it, is a grim man who rarely smiles. He is very concerned at the evil running about in his lands and knows that there is a nest of vampires somewhere nearby. He also knows about one particular vampire that keeps a low profile but feeds here and there, usually on criminals.

He is tall with dark brown hair and deep blue eyes. He has broad shoulders but for all that is quick as a sprite and a deadly shot with a bow. Few can go toe to toe with him and hope to win.
