Madam Opal has passed through time and space just to participate in the arena. The wear and tear of time travel has severely dampened her skills as a witch and made her much weaker and older than she was in her own time but that has not altered her unscrupulous ambitions: to take hold of the powerful artifact of The Arena and use it to transcend time itself, becoming a god in her own right.

She appears to know a lot more than she lets on, droping hints here and there that she is on to many of the fighters and their little secrets they keep to themselves, especially those of her own guildmates.
However, her motives in this endeavor are enigmatic at best. Does she poses a heightened form of clairvoyance meant to tease and unnerve the other fighters or is the era she comes from the very future the arena is making it's way towards. Only time will tell; and as a patron of Time itself, Opal isn't sharing any of what Time is telling.
