Physical Appearance: Adrian's body is lined with scars from a lifetime of soldiering and being a lab rat for people who want to know just how a kid can spring a mutation. (Yeah, you try watching your parents die and come out of it without glowing Fremen eyes. The scars? I think they add character.)

Physically, he stands a shade under six feet tall, with two hundred pounds on an athletic frame. The Lord's Prayer covers the upper part of his torso, a rosary circles his neck below a jagged scar where his throat was cut (They didn't cut deep enough, someone didn't pay attention in school), and The Destruction of Sennacherib covers his back.

Powers: Adrian is an electrokinetic, with the ability to manipulate anything with an electrical charge, while also absorbing ambient energy from the air around him as a subconscious effort to stay awake as long as possible. (Yeah, well, you try living my life and coming out of it without flashbacks. Normal people get to sleep. I don't. It isn't fair.)

Strengths: While not superhumanly durable, Adrian has a reputation for refusing to stay down. He possesses an aura of personality, mostly from experience in the field combined with his natural charisma, that allows him to get what he needs for a particular mission, even though he isn't much of a leader. He is fluent in four languages apart from his native Italian and English as a result of his travels and training- Russian, French, Arabic, and Spanish. He's a pretty good pianist, which helps the whole super-spy thing.

Weaknesses: He isn't stronger or more durable than anyone else, and his inability to feel fear leads him to make some incredibly questionable decisions in combat while also seeming to remove his natural instinct of self-preservation. He also suffers from nightmares and flashbacks, leading to the subconscious urge to constantly pull electricity from the air around him in an effort to stay awake for as long as he can. He has somewhat low self-esteem due to the fact that his eyes are essentially blue flashlights at this point, as well as the obvious scarring that makes him look more like an obvious lab experiment than a human being. He is also fully aware that the all-driving urge to open himself up completely to Earth's electric fields will eventually be more than he can ignore, and he will eventually either burn himself out or completely incinerate himself in the attempt to become some kind of walking lightning avatar thing.


Background: Born into an old money family in Rome, Adrian was orphaned at a young age when his family died a car wreck. Sadly, the foster family that took him in didn't want a mutant child once the stress triggered his mutated eyes, and so he bounced around from place to place until SHIELD took him in at the age of six for a research project designed to examine early manifestations of mutations in children. Many of the experiments were unsanctioned due to their nature, and the project that engineered him was shuttered a couple years later and Adrian transferred to a Gifted/Talented program when his natural proficiency with languages showed itself in conversation.

From there, he was trained to be a field agent, receiving the best martial and weapons training possible, and it was something he could put his natural abilities to use while keeping him far enough away from SHIELD proper that his justified rage at the things done to him would never threaten anyone important. Unfortunately, even the best conditioning can go awry, and Adrian's mind has begun to repair itself from the strain, which has led him to question everything he's done over his short life. It doesn't help that being good at your job earns you a reputation, and people like AIM or HYDRA take notice. So, he dropped off the grid, using a SHIELD mission as a cover, figuring that going into hiding for a bit might get whoever was hunting him off his back for a while.
