Rogue

Hero Name: Rogue
Real Name: Anna Marie
Age: 25

Physical Attributes

Strength 1
Agility 4
Endurance 3
Appearance  2

Height 5’ 8’’
Weight 120lbs

Hair: Dark burgundy red, that mirrors brown with a white streaks through out the front.
Eyes: Deep Emerald Green

Complexion: Pale, Creamy White

Appearance: Rogue is an all-together beguiling woman. She has a round face with soft features. Her eyes are large and darkly framed by long fans of lashes. Beneath the lashes lie dark and mysterious green eyes that sparkle mischievously in the light. Her small bridge leads to delicate, rounded lips- pink with blush.

While not large length wise- the protrusion of her pout is unmatched. Her soft lips are often bitten by white teeth, delicately gapped teeth in concentration or frustration. Her complexion is pale, but clear of all blemishes. Her light skin holds no blemishes, only silky softness. Her figure is of thicker build but in the shape of an hourglass nonetheless.

At a graceful 5'8, her body is toned, but altogether soft. Her waist is small, leading to wide hips one direction and full breasts the other. Her limbs are long and help to add to her catlike presence and smooth movements. Her posture, while one of confidence, has a certain something missing. She is not used to physical human interaction, and when presented with so, she becomes uncomfortable. Rogue's looks may most closely be compared to those of a 1950's pin up girl- doll like, but definitely all real.

Distinguishing Characteristics: A pale white streak of hair located on the front of her scalp. It seems to just keep growing that way.

Mental Attributes

Intelligence 2
Intuition 3
Charisma 4
Willpower 1

Personality: Rogue is outgoing and blunt, and this often gets her into situations she didn't plan on being in. She has a softness about her that is completely thrown out the window when she opens her southern drawled mouth. She’s sassy and smart and enjoys witty conversations where she can get them.

Inside all this sassiness is a girl with confidence, but none in herself. Though she’ll never admit it, she sees herself as a freak and hopes that this cure will some how free her of herself. She doesn't want to lose her special-ness-but she doesn't want to lose herself or her boyfriend either.

Powers:
Before the cure: Rogue is a mutant with the ability to drain a living being's essence upon physical contact, giving them a biophysical shock while synthesizing into her body their physical skills, memories, personality traits, and superhuman matrices to a varying degree. Prolonged physical touch could be lethal to whomever she contacts. She had permanently stored Ms. Marvel’s power template, which used to give her flight, superhuman strength, endurance, reflexes, durability, and a seventh sense that allowed her to react instinctively to danger, to anticipate her opponents moves, and target in on specified objects.

After the cure: Rogue has proven that she is a very capable and agile hand to hand fighter. As a member of the old guard, this veteran provides leadership to the newly established X-Men of Detroit.

Limitation:
Before the cure: She could not touch another being (skin/skin) without absorbing their thoughts, ideas, memories and powers (when applicable). It was posited that her inability to control her powers was psychological in nature, but Xavier died before the could be fully explored.

Weakness: When she absorbed someone’s ‘psyche’ they become part of her forever. Strong psyches are a threat in the sense that they may be able to overcome her. She has a hard time distinguishing between her own life and that of someone she’s absorbed in the first few minutes after the touch.

<img src="http://oi60.tinypic.com/2btv6g.jpg"align=left>Background: Raised by her Aunt Carrie after tragedy befell her parents, young Anna Marie ran away from home and was taken in by Mystique and Destiny (Irene Adler), whom Rogue came to regard as her surrogate parents. Rogue's mutant power first manifested in her early teens when she kissed Cody Robbins. Her mind filled with his memories, and he fell into a permanent coma. Eventually realizing she could never safely live among normal people, Rogue began participating in her foster mother's criminal endeavors and came to join Mystique's terrorist Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. On her first mission, the inexperienced Rogue clashed with Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers) and permanently absorbed the hero's memories and powers, including super-strength and flight.

Distraught over her lack of control, Rogue turned to her enemies, the X-Men. Convinced of her sincerity, Professor Xavier accepted her onto the team; however, it wasn't until Rogue risked her own life to save the team that she began to gain her teammates' trust. In this selfless act, Wolverine offers to transfer his healing power to her in order to save her life. She refuses, arguing that it might kill him, but this only serves to gain his trust, and Wolverine touches her to transfer his power anyway. Logan is her closest friend and mentor, and while she doesn't agree with everything he does, she tries her hardest to understand.

She was young, almost too young, by team standard to be granted full X-Men status. But, with Xavier’s insistence and Wolverine’s backing, she was reluctantly elevated from junior member to active teammate. Now living at the mansion and having a stable place to call home, she continued her training with Wolverine, developing a powerful bond that few understood. Romance also budded, flourished and perished with the seasons. First there was Bobby Drake, then the Cajun, Gambit. Rife with teenage angst and uncertainty and compounded by Rogue’s inability to engage in physical affection, both love ‘affairs’ failed. Rogue blamed her ‘curse’ for the cause, resenting the fact that she could never have what others could. Tired of being alone, the cure offered her the chance to be more than a threat to her loved ones. It offered her freedom. Hope. In reality, the cure left her empty inside; silently contemplating which was worse, the curse or the cure.

The one saving grace to all of this is Ricky. They had met on opposite sides of the battlefield, and like she, he found his way to Xavier’s team. Friendship and shared experience led to respect. Since partaking in the cure, she struggles daily with her choice, but in the past few months, Ricky has been there to help pick up the pieces and give her a sense of purpose. Together, they are rebuilding what was lost in New Salem in Detroit, along with new friends and allies.

With a new mansion, a new home, a new family, a new purpose, Rogue will make the most of her choices.

<img src="http://oi57.tinypic.com/91ghi0.jpg"align=left>Quirks: Rogue, out of pure habit, still wears gloves while alone. It’s comforting, and she enjoys the feeling.
