Pretty, but not stunning, Shishako often seems a bit shy. Those who get to know her realize that this would be better termed as "coy." She takes her duties as a messenger quite seriously, and almost transforms when it is time to make an announcement or get someone's attention in the line of her duties; she becomes outgoing and socially aggressive.
Like many Miya, Shishako tries to avoid physical confrontation whenever it is possible to do so. The only weapons she ever carries are her family wakazashi, as a symbol of her rank and duties, and a menhari-gata, which she regularly uses as a simple fan.
She generally wears a grey kimono with silver-threaded embroidery. She has red, white, and black streaks in her hair.
