Gurgun Nightwhisper

Gurgun was found and brought up by the monks from the temple of Oghma in Deepingdale, after being expelled from his tribe at an early age (6 years). The shamans and spiritual leaders of his clan recognized the potential of the young Gurgun, but his disposition was too alien for them to accept. After roaming the lands for a few weeks, the young hobgoblin finally collapsed in a glade near Deepingdale where he was found by the monks of Oghma. He quickly learned Common and to read and write, and entertained his caretakers with the legends and lore of his race and clan. The monks called him "Nightwhisper" for his ability (and predisposition) to move silently in the dark.

Gurgun is now a valued member of his order, and has been assigned several difficult missions already. He does however have a nagging suspicion that his presence at the temple is not always desired and that the missions he is being sent out on therefore always takes him far away for long periods of time.
Gurgun is dressed in a simple tunic and loose fitting trousers. A pair of soft, well-made boots covers his feet. He carries no weapons, and tied to his backpack is a tiny desk identifying him as a scribe. His red hair and bronze skin makes him stand out among humans, yet his attire and demeanor makes him go largely unnoticed in many cirumstances.
