Gwendol is a young(ish) member of the Twinbeard clan, and hails from their home in the Cloudpeak mountains. As is the norm for members of his clan, his red beard is neatly braided in two. His bright blue eyes conveyes much humor and mirth, and his joy for battle is matched by his delight in eating and drinking.
The holy symbol of his goddess, Haela Brightaxe, is encrusted upon the breastplate of his armor, and he keeps a smaller version hanging around the neck under his clothing. Besides being a decent cook, Gwendol is a skilled armorsmith, and will happily help his mates with mending equipment, just as well as supporting them in the heat of battle.
A very large sword hangs across his back, and he keeps at least two axes at his side, balanced for throwing. Of medium height (for a dwarf) he conveys both strength and presence of mind.
Gwendol, as most members of the Twinbeard clan, is a born warrior. His devotion to battle and fighter prowess made him closely attuned to the godess Haela Brightaxe and he is now a devoted priest to her cause.
He is being sent out on a quest to find a long lost artefact, a priceless treasure for members of his clan. To the right people he might divulge his mission, but otherwise keeps his reason for venturing forth in the world a well kept secret.
