Archmagister Karl Fenwick has a reputation for being a stern, somewhat severe man with little patience for trivialities. Powdery, well-groomed white hair, elegant and stately black robes, and his perpetually lit pipe all speak of old-world gentleman's sensibilities, and it is known that the archmagister is a connoisseur of the finer things in life. Even his trademark "jewel magic" style seems impractically lavish to some. Fenwick is ever adorned with a few token baubles on his person, including an ornate ruby-tipped cane.

Perhaps more impressive (or intimidating) is the archmagister's reputation as a master warlock.
