Slim and just a hair shorter than average, perpetually mussed hair, he is a decent looking young man with elfin features and expressive green eyes. Ben typically dresses preppy even outside of his school uniform; he has good taste and prefers comfortable, trendy everyday wear. Messenger slung across his shoulders, distressed "rocker revival" jeans, blazers and fitted T-shirts, scarves and hoodies—a regular poster child for Abercrombie & Fitch or the Buckle. He wears multiple rings and has several piercings in his ears, usually wearing a ball stud and a silver gauge or two.

Guarded and slow to open up, Ben comes across as shy at first, but those who manage to get close to him can catch slivers of a roguish, boyish charm and a kind heart beneath the cultivated "loner" persona. In fact, although he tends to push people away at first, Ben is entirely likable, and once comfortable, his magnetic personality can be altogether disarming. Should someone manage to engage him in conversation, Ben’s schooling also becomes quite apparent.
