Rodrigo's long black hair and dark complexion reveal his Southern Rutalathian origins. As premier knight of Rhutalath, he wears shining Moon-steel armour, almost white, with red Laen trimmings. his cuirass is emblazoned with the Red Eagle of Rhutalath. his shield carries the design of queen Tiana, a red rose on a cross; Rodrigo is the Queen's champion. Even in the most dangerous places, Rodrigo wears these crests with honour and pride, unwilling to hide them behind cloak and robe.
As First Knight of the Realm, Rodrigo has seen many wars, and made his name in the Holy Wars in the East. Despite his ferocity in battle, Rodrigo believes that everybody is good and pure, deep down; whilst an admirable trait, this often makes him appear naive........
