Howard Hawks -- informally known as 'Howard' -- is a male black-and-rust Doberman Pinscher weighing 36.25 kg (approximately 80 lb.).  Trained (and named) by breeder Robert Wheelock in Washington state, Howard responds to commands taken from the vocabulary of film directors.  Tyler Hope had acquired the dog from Wheelock before leaving for Canada.
