Eric C. Wright

Eric is dressed in flecktarn fatigues with the Ravenwood Defense Group patch on both shoulders, hiking boots, flight gloves, knee & elbow pads, a PASGT helmet, ballistic goggles, plate carrier and a nomex balaclava when the situation suits.  He usually wears his sidearm horizontally in a holster on his chest rig.  Eric himself is about 5'8", 165 pounds, with a svelte build, brown hair and hazel eyes.

Eric was born in Grand Forks North Dakota to a USAF officer and a civilian nurse.  His mother was ethnically Russian, and taught him Russian from an early age, along with English.  He lived a fairly normal life, got fair grades in high school, was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed camping, hunting and shooting.

He enlisted in the Army a week after he graduated high school as an 11C, and did a five-year tour with the 25th Infantry Division, traveling throughout the Pacific area to do joint exercises with various nations.  After his tour was up, he returned to San Antonio (now a nuclear crater), what he considered to be his hometown out of all the places he'd lived, and went to college, getting a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.  That moved him into a position as a patrol officer with the San Marcos Police Department, where he served admirably for six years.

In 1993 he was hired away by Ravenwood Defense Group, a private military contractor, to teach law enforcement officers in Africa, specifically Mali & the Ivory Coast; places where his combined experience with the military and law enforcement was especially useful, given the higher threat environment and less clear-cut delineation between police & military.  After 18 months of LEO instructing, he moved to working on demining operations in Cambodia, which then escalated to force protection & VIP escort, and then up to some kinetic operations in a location he won't (or can't) specify.  His op tempo began to wind down, and he was transferred to Alaska for guard duty at one of the oil fields; with Cold War politics starting to heat up, there was very real concern that the fields would be targeted by Soviet sleepers or infiltrators.

When the balloon went up though, The Soviets pushed hard, and Eric linked up with US units for a while, but when they started to become less & less reliable, he found himself with First Nationers around Lilloet, and worked with them as irregulars, hitting the Soviets when it suited them & working to slowly bleed them out.

As the situation started to stabilize, he found himself once again swapping affiliations, linking up with the RCMP, when he started as a contracted instructor and also began working policing around the area.  Most recently he has been doing undercover work in the area targeting gun runners.

He is a proud Texan, and has some of the stereotypical affectations (although what exactly is for show & what is unconscious is anyone's guess).

While he is well-versed in a wide variety of military and military surplus firearms between his US military service, work in Africa, and time as an irregular, he usually carries a suppressed C8 and the Glock 21C issued by RDG, although he has a few other goodies tucked away...
