The River Watch patrols the canals f Marienburg 24 hours a day 7 days a week. They spend most of their time making sure people are not highjacking cargo from the hundreds of ships at dock on any given day.

They typically row (literally) with 3 to 4 men in a large row boat. They are equipt with a crossbow for every 2 men in a row boat and grappling hooks and rope to secure smugglers who try and flee. They are also equipt with two lanterns for us in checking the ships at dock but it is not uncommon for the River Watch to just sit and wait, drinking the night away, while they watch their assigned section of the docks. The River watch is fairly ruthless and are about as crooked as they come for the right amount of money. They are very good fighters on the water because most are injured or retired sailers and mariens. All are devout worshippers of Manann.
