Words were always Josh's hobby and talent. Growing up, he was forever tapping away at a word processor, writing in his numerous journal and notebooks, reading books and online. He loved both the feel, the scent of paper and the immediate crackle of computerised information. He studied computer science and writing at university, and after graduating worked freelance, writing technical articles for journals and online pieces for the paper. Eventually, he got a job as a staff writer for the computer magazine WireWorld.

Though tall and fit, Josh has a cheerful, boyish demeanour that sets others at easy. His fair hair is longish, usually styled into ridged waves. He had never had any really serious relationships; a few flings in college, but he had never met a girl who was confident, smart, funny and beautiful enough to make him think about the future, until Juliet.
