She was far from a pushover or weak, but Maria had a flaw, she believed in the good in everyone. She believed that everyone deserved a second chance, that people could change and that people have bad moments in their life but that should not define them. It has seen her ripped off a few times, stolen from and one time held up.. of course they were not expecting her to have a shotgun under her counter.

Maria was born in a poor latino community, gangs, drugs, it was not the safest place in the world, but it was home. She came home from school one day to find police had blocked off her street, body bags and wounded being taken from homes. Some gang had decided to use a machine gun on the houses.. with the paper thin walls it meant most the people inside were injured or killed.. including her parents. Sent into foster care it was decided to move her to the other side of the country so she did not have to face those memories. Her family was nice enough, but they were also not loving. She worked hard in school, getting a job and saving the moment she was old enough, graduating with high grades she went to college where she met her now husband.

She had found a disgusting old building, small, but cute, it took her a year to make it over, and now, 3 years later "Maria's" was a bustling, busy craft store with adjoining cafe. Her husband had tried to talk her out of it, but they agreed that she was using the money she had saved and she could do what she wanted with it.. only now he was starting to pry, asking her about the profits, and it irked her a little.

Maria is firey, passionate, not afraid to express her opinion. She dances to music she likes, laughs out loud and enjoys life. She is kind, caring, sweet and gives people the benefit of the doubt, so much so that when she was approached by a parole officer and asked if she needed some cheap labour she agreed. Her skin is an olive brown, her hair is long, dark and generally pulled back (though when it is out it frames her face much better). She body is curvaceous in all the right places and she knows it. Her hazel eyes give her away sometimes though, hiding her past, hiding the things she does not share, but normally she can light up a room with one stunning smile.
